Twenty three years ago today, I was born. Nine years ago I realized I was queer. Three years ago I came to tumblr and found a wonderful and welcoming community. One year ago I finally realized I was a woman. What a wonderful journey it has been. Thank you to all my friends and mutuals, thank you to everyone who follows me, thank you to anyone who's ever just interacted with one of my posts. The world is a better place with all of you in it.

I hope to make something more of this blog in the coming year, break away from it just being a reblog dump. Stay tuned for more of me, same as I've always been, and more of me, completely different and new

Sick of the TME view of gender as a radical performance of nonconformity rather than the existence of nonconformity and gender being radical through external force declaring it such. Wanting to be taboo vs the natural state of existence being seen as taboo.

if the thing you want out of gender is to be perceived as transgressive, then it's in your interests to continue to construct shock and awe around transgressive expressions of gender

rocky horror and much of mainstream drag serve this function. they cultivate and reproduce a sense of shock around gender nonconformity, gamifying the transgression of boundaries. but in order for that game to be played at all, those boundaries need to remain so they can be continually transgressed. trans women who want to truly do away with these boundaries, then, represent a threat to the game

"sex is what's in your chromosomes" is not a neutral statement. that's one of the main reductive oversimplifications that the right have been pushing about sex for years. sex is a combination of physical characteristics, many of which can be changed or removed in the process of medical transition. I cannot wrap my head around why other trans people are so happy to uphold regressive binaristic thinking like this

Its very very important to internalze that sex is not a binary, and to stop using gendered language as a shorthand for sex characteristics.

Trans women do not have "male chromosomes" trans men do not have "female chromosomes" You can just name the chromosomes specifically if it ever matters but 99% of people don't even know their fucking chromosomes anyway. Its transphobe rhetoric, get it out of your mouth.

This is more common for language like "female" or "male" genitals. Normalize the idea that body parts are not gendered. My vagina is male because I am male. Many women have testes. (cis intersex women and transfem women alike) Be specific and name the body part you're talking about if it matters. Free yourself from the prison of a gendered body

But more importantly to the core of this post: stop saying mtf and amab when you can just say woman.

I want to draw trans fem boobs correctly but so many "references" are like porn stars or folks who've gotten work done, and I want to draw more everyday people getting nasty with it. Do you have any tips, or if not maybe resources you can point me toward? (Honestly, girldick too?) Google has NOT been helpful :( Thank u!

My recc is to find sex workers on bluesky (or twitter if you want to brave the toxic sludge). You can even find them on here, though its harder as they are much more likely to get their accounts banned. Going the social media route you will find a wider range of body types across the board vs porn sites. I follow trans girls with big naturals, small naturals, and girls who have had breast augmentation as well.

Many beautiful trans women are putting their bodies on the internet for free so don't forget to support them in the process!

I also have a trans wife which helps when I need reference.
