Azula, ty Lee, and Mai but as the heathers

Ahhh, looking at the tags really makes me want to draw Azula yelling, “Shut up Heather!” ...

Fake book cover for Jane Eyre. I always found this book more sinister and creepy than romantic. I wanted to mimic that feeling of Jane being alone and unsure.
This is a fake book cover for Pride & Prejudice that I made rather recently. I wanted to make a design that looked modern (but, not too romance-novel-cheese-y)
I tried to make a cover that shows the complex relationship that the book is famous for. On the surface Elizabeth Bennett is turned away and looking down in disdain while Mr.Darcy looks upward. But, my goal was to make their intent open to interpretation. You can read Darcy as prideful or hopeful. Elizabeth as disgusted or rightfully cautious.
In the end I like this cover. It’s hard to do this book justice design wise. It’s a romance novel that’s also political satire and, at it’s core, it’s about the relationships we have with others both real and imagined.
Why did I never post this?
This is “Into the Abyss” inspired by the idea that all characters experience the fade, to an extent, while sleeping. Also… hope you guys enjoy this non female presenting nipple! So… yeah… thought I’d upload this before tumblr self destructs tomorrow. I will continue to upload on this platform but, I will likely be more active elsewhere. Haven’t decided where yet.
Fingers crossed I don’t get flagged.
Also Hawkes gender is meant to be ambiguous.
This is a redraw of an older work I did for a summer fun contest I won several years ago.
Geez, it makes me cringe just looking at the old one. What is even going on anatomy wise? And why is Fenris wearing gym shorts?! We may never know. I think I’ve improved a lot since this. Especially with the story telling aspect. I don’t really remember what I was “going for” originally. But, since I wanted to rework the “story” the redraw immediately became winter themed as a contrast. I also decided that, unlike the summer one which would take place during DA2, the winter picture would take place in the ambitious ending of DA3.
The dead flora emphasizes the loneliness and distance they must both feel now that Hawke is in the fade. It’s similar to how things where in the beginning of DA2. Wanting to be together yet, being so far apart. That’s part of why I added the red sheet that Fenris ripped during their romance. And, again, it’s meant to be fade-y so it’s a bit more surreal. When I drew the summer one I was still very confused about who I was as an artist. I was still trying to do this weird sudo realistic thing mixed with line art. So, with the winter edition I leaned more heavy into stylization- which I like more. I also remember when I drew the summer one I had wanted a gender ambiguous Hawke. But, I gave up half way through.
Reblogging again because: purge.

I said I was just going to post DA stuff... but... I was feeling inspired by some blue ink I recently purchased. It had this lovely shine. The color name was“Lapis” so I felt I had to do something SU with it. Plus, I’ve always loved the ballerina aesthetic of the pearls, I hope it shows!
Where was I when I first saw “Dread Wolf Rising“ (Hopefully DA4)? Drawing Zevran for the December of dragon age!
I started playing Deltarune and I am really digging this fantasy aesthetic.
Experimenting with my style. Did a Zuko doodle.
During a close encounter with death Lars Normandy lost his voice. Afterwards he hasn't been the same, prompting his aunt to seek out the guidance of a Jesuit.
For Inktober I did an episode in Ink! Enjoy!
Something I did for my brother for his new mix! I’ll be uploading a speed paint later.
