“Do you ever get upset about it?” Lily asked, gesturing to the small group of people across the courtyard.
Remus, who had honestly been so wrapped up in the book he’d been reading that he’d forgotten to listen to what Lily was saying, blinked and looked up. “Erm…what?”
“It must suck,” she elaborated, pointing to where Sirius was sitting, surrounded by a group of girls who were all clearly fawning over him, “to watch him like that.”
But Remus just snorted, shaking his head. “Nah.”
She stared. “Not at all?”
He shrugged, thinking for a moment, considering how he felt. “I…it used to,” he admitted finally, biting his lip. “When he first started…y’know. Dating.” His lips curved at bit at the word, because it was still an amazing thing to say. He and Sirius Black were dating. Boyfriends. “I thought…why wouldn’t he want one of them? They’re all pretty, nice, funny…easier to be with.”
It was nice that Lily didn’t argue. Clearly, she disagreed–she was one of the most fiercely supportive friends Remus had. But she also had always understood the feelings of low self-confidence he’d struggled with for so long. “But then?” Lily prompted gently.
“Then, I walked by a group of them one day. He didn’t see me coming,” Remus explained, feeling a goofy grin form on his face. “Guess what he was talking about?”
“Pranks with Potter?” she suggested snarkily, rolling her eyes.
“Me,” he replied with a smile. “He kept going on about me. So yeah…I’m not….it’s not something I worry about.”
Lily grinned widely, eyes shining. “Good. You shouldn’t.”
And, sure enough, when they got up a few moments later to head back inside, Sirius’s voice could be clearly heard: “And then Remus–you all know Remus, he’s so bloody hilarious, you know? Well, he said…”
Remus couldn’t stop smiling.

“Ooo! We should play spin the bottle!” Pandora said, and Regulus and Sirius rolled their eyes in synch.
“Aboslutley not.” Regulus said, at the same exact moment that Sirius said; “No way!”. They glared at each other for a moment, but Pandora didn’t seem thrown off by neither their strange synchronization nor their disinterest in playing.
“Yes way!” She countered, scrambling up from her chair to the table in the back of the living room, where all the alcohol had been shelved for the evening, and back again. “It will be fun! Give me one good reason why we shouldn’t play.”
“I’m not kissing anyone here.” Said Regulus definitively, crossing his arms over his chest, and Barty blew a raspberry at him.
“Hey!” James insisted from his spot on the floor, leaning back between Regulus’ knees, and Regulus simply shrugged.
“If you’re lucky.” He offered, and James gave him a playful smirk.
“Great!” Pandora said, setting the empty bottle down on the coffee table, “Regulus sits out and the rest of us play.”
“It will be boring!” Sirius insisted over them, “Besides, I’ve already kissed everyone here.” The silence that followed the admission was unusual and almost awkward, until Lily burst out laughing and the others followed. Regulus rolled his eyes and leaned back into the couch, unsurprised at his brother’s promiscuity but uninterested in hearing about it.
“No way!” Lily exclaimed, “I’m sorry Dora but this is way more interesting than spin the bottle, everyone Sirius?”
Sirius looked around, as if checking each face in the circle, then nodded determinedly.
“Yup. Everyone but Regulus, obviously.”
“You kissed Evan?” Pandora asked curiously, which Evan immediately followed with,
“You kissed my sister?!” Sirius nodded, as if this was obvious. “And my boyfriend?” Barty smirked.
“He’s done a bit more than kiss me, Rosie.” Evan flicked him on the cheek and glared at Sirius, who shrugged indefensibly.
“He wasn’t your boyfriend at the time!” He insisted, and something clicked in Regulus' brain.
“James,” He said flatly, and James looked up towards him grinning obliviously. “Have you kissed my brother?” The humor fell from James face and his eyes widened, their friends snickering.
“I didn’t- I mean, it was- it was a while ago, and it didn’t- mean anything!” James sputtered, and Regulus was already shaking his head.
“I can’t believe you kissed my brother. That’s disgusting!”
“Oi!” Sirius called and Regulus looked pointedly at him.
“Don’t you start, you kissed my boyfriend!” Sirius shrugged, finally seeming a bit embarrassed about it, but Regulus wasn’t leaving it at that. “All that time you whined about us being together you didn’t think it was important to mention? You made him think he had to win you over, like he had to prove to you he was good enough for me, but he was obviously good enough for you, wasn’t he?” Sirius snorted.
“As if. It was a kiss, Reggie, it’s not as if we went out. One kiss! And it wasn’t even good.”
“Hey! It was pretty good!” James interrupts, mouth moving before his thoughts and immediately all eyes trained on the brothers snap to him, including Regulus’.
“Oh it was, was it?” Regulus asked dryly and James gulped.
“Who was better?” Barty asked and James glared at him but Sirius snorted.
“Regulus, obviously.” James glowered at him, then turned back to Regulus, expression innocent. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. Do you want to kiss Remus to keep it fair?” He meant it as a joke, but Sirius scoffed and Regulus averted his gaze.
“Actually,” He said, looking at Remus who suddenly seemed terrified of the conversation, “I’ve already kissed Lupin.”
The room exploded with laughter and follow up questions being shrieked at him, Sirius gagging while Remus hung his head in his hands. Pandora grinned. It wasn’t spin the bottle, but at least it wasn’t boring.
It looks like they’re dropping a teaser trailer for the new Harry Potter reboot tomorrow
