for the good of all mankind
Do you see those two weevlis Doctor? Which would you choose?
Neither: there’s not a scrap of difference between them; they’re both the same species of Curculio
If you, had to choose. If you were forced to choose. If there were no other responses
Well then, if you’re going to push me:
I would choose the right-hand weevil;
it has significant advantage in both length and breadth.
THERE! I HAVE YOU! YOU'RE COMPLETELY DISHED!

I stumbled upon this cartoon of Hamlet made for kids and THIS SCENE MADE ME SCREAMMM
genuinely sickening to think about how men pop up out of holes in the ground and you have to swing a mallet and hit them over the head to get them to stop

I don't care what anyone says, Samira not only has a clear story this season, but it's one of the most brutal ones in my opinion because Samira has to face he reality that she has become the reason she went into medicine.
Because we know that she went into medicine to be a difference. She saw how her father was treated and overlooked and how that led to his death, in her mind, she decided she wanted to be whatever that wasn't. She would be slower and more understanding and work harder to meet her patients where they are in their times of crisis because that kind of care wasn't afford to her.
Only this season has shown her as a doctor who has other thoughts. Other concerns. Real shit in their own lives that they are forced to power through in order to just be present in the most minimal fashion. And people have died because of it.
Ogilvie's patient died because Ogilvie made a mistake. But more importantly than that to her, he died because Samira was distracted trying to help others and dealing with her own shit. She wasn't there like she feels she should've been (after seeing the damage and Robby's anti-pep talk). And because of that she has left someone else without a father. Because she made a simple screw up like the one she feels someone made with her dad.
Except when she does try, in the case of Mr Diaz, it amounts to the same thing. She worked her ass off to find an answer. To try and help him, alongside his family, however she could and he said no. He refused treatment. And it's not her fault, but that's not something she believes looking at yet another father who has a family wondering why she didn't do more? Why their loved one is likely to die because she just let it happen?
Because Samira's key motivator as a doctor is to save her dad. And it's impossible task because he's already gone and has been for years, if not decades. Which might be fine other days, but in just a few hours, she was blindsided by the fact that worse than not saving her dad, she's everything she found wrong with doctors in the eyes of some other family that feels she could've done more.
And the worst part is that she agrees in some part because she's been in that position. It's why this arc hits so hard because how does one handle seeing themselves not as a human with flaws and a whole life outside these brief moments, but everything they've always hated and fought against?
NOTE: I am an adult in my thirties who understand the way tv shows work both on screen and off, and has not decided to make the crumbs of interaction I've built a ship on my whole personality online. And if that does not apply to you, keep moving. I don't have time for your shit.
I saw the video of Ryan Gosling recreating the La La Land poster with Rocky (which is so much funnier when you remember his co-lead in that film was Emma Stone) and I got an idea. What if they remade every Ryan Gosling film but with Rocky in it. He doesn't even play one of the characters, he's just Rocky and he's in the movie.
they remade a bunch of his movie posters and i love them all so much
