the world that the "trans women have male privilege" types live in is so fascinating. is that the same one where we only date cis lesbians instead of eachother too??

like. lets imagine for a moment what that actually looks like. the world that you are positing requires for a hiring manager to sit down and look at two candidates, a trans woman and a cis woman, and consistently choose trans applicants over cis ones.

There are two obvious cases here. The first is that the trans woman passes, and the two candidates look identical, leaving no way for her to be advantaged whatsoever. The second is that she does not pass, and the hiring manager, while viewing her as a "man in a dress" (as you lot love to put it) willfully chooses her over the cis woman. Show me any data that could possibly support this behavior. Look me in the eyes and tell me you believe this makes any sense at all

Fast forward to tomorrow next week. Jellyfish was Yuri bait. GBC was Yuri bait. The entire Yuri fanclub is in shambles. Hope is lost.

Then the final episode of Hibike! Euphonium airs. In it, Kumiko and Reina share the gayest most passionate kiss ever conceived. Entire sites get shut down due to the traffic. Kyoani makes a gajillion million dollars off of tapestry of Kumiko and Reina's wedding. The hibike subreddit is yelling about how Shuuichi can totally come back from this, and they will keep doing this until the end of time.

Then, after a period of turmoil, Yuri will flourish. By this time next year we'll have 5 different anime with canonized gay couples kissing sloppy style. And while watching them we'll all shed a single tear, look up at the sky, and said "God bless you John Hibike. God bless your soul."

my family wasn't this strict, but in some sects of buddhism you're not allowed to eat the "five pungent vegetables", onions garlic shallots leeks and umm chives i think, really any of those kind of vegetables. probably some monk ages ago was tired of onion farts stinking up the temple. anyways, one time my brother made a soup using all five of them. he said, "one sip of this, and you'll be reincarnated as a flea."
