i just want to say, you are not giving up your morals if you continue to watch and pay attention to the canes after all of this. was it too much to hope that the canes were different from other teams like they always said? maybe but the fans? the fans are showing up to say they do not accept this signing, that no money will be given to the canes because of this signing, and thats all you can really do. we’ve all shown and spoken out our displeasure, we’ve talked amongst each other and said our piece, and at the end of the day, thats what counts. this is one of those instances where you can still engage with a team and a sport because it gives you an escape from your everyday life, and just like every team and every sport, you can see the faults and still feel the betrayal and still consume the media and the games. no one can fault you for coming back, esp because this one asshole does not define the rest of the players on the team. you are not less moral for watching the canes next season! we fans are not accepting this signing and are taking our money with us, but having an eye on the team that you’ve always cared about? thats okay! every team has their shit stain, and no one can belittle you for continuing to watch.
