Quick Update and Hiatus

Hi all,

I've obviously been inactive for quite a while, and probably no one really notices/cares, but I do occasionally get interaction on here, so I just want to make a quick post.

Without going into too much detail, a close relative of mine, whom I live with, was semi-recently diagnosed with brain cancer. This, in addition to many other things (cough cough the state of the world cough cough), has obviously wreaked havoc on my mental health and functioning.

Turns out, when someone close to you is going through a major medical event, it makes watching them on TV less fun and more stressful... so I haven't been keeping up with s2 of The Pitt and also have not been on here.

I have had so much fun on here getting to engage with this fandom and rediscover my creativity. I have so much love for this show and for all my friends on here. I don't know that I'll never go back to writing for The Pitt, but I really don't know how or when. I'll be leaving this blog here for now, and who knows maybe I'll be back.

If any of my moots wanted to keep in touch feel free to dm me, I'm happy to exchange socials for some other platform because y'all are all really fucking cool people, no pressure tho (:

hey it’s ok if you lost your ai virginity back when you were uneducated. a lot of posts go like “reblog if you have never ever used generative ai and never ever will!!!” but it’s ok if you have used gen ai before and it’s even ok if you used to think it was cool, back before you understood what it really was and how it worked, either because no one had taught you about it and you discovered it on your own or because the only education you had received about it was from the tech bros. you’re not a burger with a bite out of it for having used ai. ok

It is 100 percent okay to stop using it today and join the "boo AI" club.

This isn't a purity thing. This is a "everyone stand with us against destroying the environment and giving asthma to poor people" thing.

Did you know that when one community says no to an AI data center, they specifically search out communities with fewer resources? Communities that can't defend themselves? And the pollution 100 percent affects their health and wellbeing, in addition to burning through our already scarce drinking water.

You can stop using character.ai today. You can say "I listened to the facts and stopped." And another thing: don't you think it's a bit more impactful to have used it, stopped, and then you're in a position to say how little it helped? How doing things for yourself improved your life?

I lied, no fic this week because migraine and I’m leaving for vacation tomorrow.

Hey gang, I'm planning to do some construction on the blog here in the next couple days, but I'm also writing something a little different that should get posted tomorrow or Wednesday!

In the meantime, I thought I'd share a little snippet of my angsty smutty Rollins fic where Heather low key gets cucked because I know in my soul Robby is not built for normal relationships lol

Snippet below the cut!

Hearing that he'd been thinking of someone else stung more than Heather had been prepared for. She tried to tell herself that, at the very least, he was telling her rather than acting on it. There had been a period in their relationship where he hadn't promised exclusivity, and she hadn't dared ask for it, terrified of the confirmation he was seeing other people. A stretch of time right after the world had begun to reopen, and Robby had pulled away from her so sharply she had begun to think she'd made the whole relationship up.

They'd grown since then, developed a stilted kind of intimacy between them (still, it paled in comparison to what had been before Robby had decided to be self-aware). Which is why she justified, Robby told her about the nurse from a different floor of the hospital that he supposedly couldn't get out of his mind.

She instantly recognized who it was, one of the ICU nurses who occasionally floated to the ED. She was Heather's antithesis, a sharp swing of the pendulum back to his norm. The nurse was closer to Robby in age, but you wouldn't guess it at first glance. Her face was tight in places from what Heather felt confident was years of routine injections, lips subtly too big for her face. She was toned in a way that suggested hours spent in the gym each week; she always wore FIGS in pastels that complemented her blond hair. Heather knew from hospital gossip that she'd gone through a divorce from her surgeon ex-husband a few years prior. If she had to guess, Heather suspected a hefty amount of alimony went towards the upkeep of her appearance. Not that there was anything wrong with any of these things, it just filled her with primal rage that Robby had the audacity to be attracted to this woman while he was with Heather.

Def different from anything i've written before and im not super sure about it but hopefully it finds someone whose into this kind of thing!
