These gentle, 400-pound giants are splashing back from the brink of extinction.
Green sea turtles have been an iconic endangered species since the 1980s, mostly due to bycatch in fishing nets and taking adults and eggs for food. I have core childhood memories of watching Steve Irwin talk about sea turtle conservation in front of a beach full of nesting green sea turtles.
After 45 years of conservation efforts, their population now meets the IUCN criteria for Least Concern rather than Endangered.
For a species with such a slow life history (it takes green sea turtles decades to reach sexual maturity) and a nearly global population, this is a Really Big Deal. This is the kind of long term conservation victory that many of the amazing humans who started working on green sea turtle conservation back in the 80s didn't live to see.
Just because something isn't fixed right away doesn't mean it won't ever be fixed. Just because the work is slow doesn't mean it isn't worth doing.
I guess I'm in the minority (as per my poll) but I never once considered that the train might not be real. The rats, loath as I was to admit it, I had an inkling they were not metaphorical. But all of my Mikoto theories hinged on the fact that MeMe was by a train station and Double was in the train. The location of the murder I took to be a massive clue. But no, it was all a metaphor for no clear reason.
my milgram comic that's been rotting in ibispaint for months
my problem is if i enjoy something enough i will be nitpicking. i Will have things to say about where and how it failed. out of nothing but love straight from my heart. unfortunately this often makes me indistinguishable from a hater who has never experienced joy or kindness. such is the amateur critic's burden.
Could you do a post about the foolish emperor
im not saying shit about the emperor are you crazy that guys got like a hundred wizards on payroll. one wrong word & im getting hit with something called 'eightfold mutilation'

Do you think they'll do another es song after kotoko's t3 releases
yes
no
Considering that Deco said in the timeline there's only one song left, no (though there should be!)
Rainbow Snake (Farancia erytrogramma), family Colubridae, NC, USA
Fossorial, semi-aquatic, known for feeding on eels (but feed on other small creatures as well).

a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.
A wild thing in terms of Mikoto's T3 writing that I haven't seen many people bring up: John killing 12 people for "stress relief"... worked? He wakes up, realises he's lost his job and instead of panicking just goes "oh well I'll just relax and have fun!"
I didn't have much hope for his T3 but somehow he's even more flat and boring that I'd feared
when someone is completely fucking wrong about your blorbo but you don't want to argue about what basically boils down to opinions about shit that doesn't matter so you just sit there like
"that guy's wrong tho"
you get it
I think the Thing with Milgram is that you you can't say it's bad because sometimes it's really really good. Which makes it so baffling when it's bad.
Like YAMANAKA. YAMANAKA COME BACK. YOU FORGOT THE PART OF THE PROCESS WHERE YOU MAKE YOUR WRITING GOOD THIS TIME.
What was more surprising to you?
The rats being literal
The train being a metaphor
I have a conspiracy theory that Mikoto was rewritten between T2 and T3 because they wanted to do something with him after being guilty but realized that he wld be inno and had to switch it up.
There's just so many inconsistencies, no mention of his parents divorce, saying he didn't want to get fired even though he kinda already was, John not actually protecting him from anything etc etc. They wanted him DEAD.
I'm a late Milgram fan so idk if I'm missing something but from my understanding it does not line up. Pls let me know if I got smth wrong.
In my post here I reference all the things that we knew; there aren't really any inconsistencies (at least not major ones). The VD seems very predisposed towards thinking he'd get inno and his vote is 56% inno right now so I don't believe his T3 was written with the intent of getting him guilty (though I was surprised because I thought he would be)
In addition I don't believe any character's crime ever got rewritten/retconned. Perhaps stuff in the prison/relations with other characters but I really think yamanaka had these files written up in this way from the start.
