If you give me some proteins, I will ask you for some Gainz.
Here it is, folks! My history (and brief review) of the protein powders I have tried and which I would recommend!
Okay, I will start it with the first protein I tried and end it to with what I have been taking!
Carnivor: I love this product, It’s filling, has a great flavor (stick to the chocolate, the rest will make you chug it and wish for a swift end to your taste buds) it has around 350 TIMES MORE PROTEIN than a piece of steak! That is what attracted me to it in the first place. Now, the only real reason I stopped taking this is because of the creatine. Creatine isn’t bad, but it can make you feel “Bloated” and carry around some “water weight”. Since my goal is to cut down on the fat first, getting the double and sometimes triple amount of creatine dosage (was taking creatine pills, too) I had to cut both of them out.
Dymatize Gourmet: The coffee flavor is AMAZING. By far, it is my favorite of any I have tasted. It was filling, had a good amount of protein and didn’t leave me with the bloated feeling (no creatine). I took it the first few months, and was suggested to cut it and replace it because I needed a smaller carb dosage (was getting way too much carbs from the shake, wheat bread, brown rice, ect). The carbs aren’t a bad thing, and some can do with them! Just have to start eliminating things when you hit a plateau.
Dymatize Iso-100: This is a protein isolate. And to put it simply, like my crew at All About Health did, it’s the purest protein. Now, since it’s an isolate, it wont make you full. Your body will use it quicker than a whey protein (faster than Gourmet and Carnivor). What I did was take it, along with a breakfast meal!
Dymatize Fusion: This protein is a mix between the Isolate protein (fast release) and casein proteins (slow release). I would recommend this for someone who wanted to replace a meal. Not along with a meal. I took it with a meal, and was constantly met with the feeling that I over ate. Again, I stopped taking it because of the carbs.
Iso-Pure Zero Carb: This is the protein I am currently taking. Not bad in flavor, I find that the double chocolate is a bit TOO chocolatey. But the cookies n cream is what I would recommend! It has 0 carbs, and 25 grams of protein per scoop (serving size is 2 scoops). I take this directly after my workout, and with a little of a simple carb. I would recommend this for anyone really. Trying to bulk up or get ripped, this protein can’t go wrong! Now, if you’re trying to bulk up, you WILL have to eat carbs, since this one doesn’t have any.
There’s plenty more I can go into with these proteins and my experience. But due to time, I can’t go into it. Please, let me know if you want me to go into more details!
Or if you can recommend any other proteins, or send me your experience with the ones you have tried! Let’s help each other out!
Remember, ask, submit and stop by! Let’s get fit together.
