Please share this!!!!! As you resident vitiligan and fellow artist I am here to educate people on how to properly create a character with vitiligo and other things to keep in mind about the disorder. And don’t forget, this trauma can be purely environmental. Even a small cut or scratch can trigger vitiligo to start appearing.

Only 1% of the entire world’s population has vitiligo but I see so many artists making characters with it when they sometimes don’t even know what vitiligo is and pass it off as “skin pigmentation”. Like— what does that even mean??? XD

It’s not an aesthetic and it won’t get you “diversity points” so stop romanticizing vitiligo!

For Autism Acceptance Month, I felt the urge to focus on Quinn’s terrible experience with a certain type of therapy that many autistic children were/are subjected to. For Quinn, this lead to masking, self harm, and overwhelming stress growing up. Because of her need to protect Claudette from this abuse, she was finally able to understand that her own autism wasn’t a bad thing and taught her daughter the same.

Misinformed and ablest societies are the reason why autistic people call for acceptance rather than awareness. We don’t need a cure, we need understanding and resources that actually help us rather than those that stigmatize and try to change us.

I had some random ideas about what would happen in Finding Marlin, and for a few years I've always wanted to see a timeskip happen and see a teen Nemo! He'd hang out with his friends more often after school and just vent to Pearl about how much he wanted to know about his mother, and why him and Marlin are the only clownfish in the Great Barrier Reef. ^v^
