I think at the age of 27 I'm realizing I kink out a bit over tissues, i always mention tissues in my fics without really noticing Zzzzzz.... but like innefficient use of tissues is so hot. Not really using them right, just for ambiance. Pulling it back with ropes of snot attached after sneezing into it, letting them get soggy and bunched up and still using them as a tiny barrier. How people, all differently, hold and fold them and spread them open with trembling hands. A sneeze blowing that top tissue and spraying the box so that the whole thing is just its own viral load is crraaazzzyyyyyyyy oh lord i have to get ready for work.

Asking for tissues .... begging for tissues .... knowing they'll need more .... piled up on the bedside table or in someone's hoodie pockets, overflowing the trashcan next to an empty box. soohohohoho

I got tired of my nose teasing me so I broke open a new vial of chhinkni and...well... these were super messy and intense but they felt amazing. Weirdly more high-pitched than usual given my throat is rough as fuck right now 😅

kinda both? i definitely spray a LOT when i don't cover, but when im sick sneezes also force snot out too sometimes. i can't stifle like at all so it's always at least some out my mouth bc they're not very quiet (sorry roommates) (probably being really annoying sneezing and blowing my nose so much)

this cold has started filling up my nose, grateful it's not too thick so i can still get it out with a good nose blow. i think i'll definitely have to get more tissues tomorrow after class, this half (more like two thirds) box isn't gonna last more than a day or two :( this is after just a little bit of sitting in my bed lol

she was down to her last two tissues from the pack i gave her, she took the pack back out and put it on the desk next to us while we were studying today. she folded them over and over bc she was trying to make them last- at one point she got up to blow her nose in the hallway bc she didnt want my friends and i to hear... but it sounded so wet. the building was quiet so i could still hear how full her nose was.

at one point she offered me her water bc i said i was thirsty, she warned me she was sick but obviously i know what im getting into lol

i hope that was enough to catch her cold :)))

yeah so i definitely caught her cold. yesterday my throat was a bit sore but today my head has been hurting a bit all day and my nose has been running like crazy. when i sit in one spot for a while it gets stuffy too, but not stuffed all the time. My cold sneezes definitely sound and FEEL different to random sneezes, so like i know this is almost definitely a cold. i sneezed with my face crammed into my elbow in lab and when i sniffled after i knew i had to leave and blow my nose bc if i sneezed again it would be a lot more embarrassing.

i actually can't fucking sneeze this is so annoying im having these waves of tickles where it kinda feels like my nose actually burns but i cannot sneeze it's so annoying. instead my nose is just runny so im awkwardly sniffling or breathing through my mouth to avoid the tickling that comes with breathing through my nose. i wish it would stop teasing me and i could just be ACTUALLY sick instead of just tired and drippy, or feel better and avoid this entirely

one of my close friends has been sick the past two days and we have almost every class together (small major lol) and i wanna catch her cold so bad she's been SO sniffly and a bit sneezy. shes really careful about covering her sneezes but she sneezed three times while i was sitting next to her and had to get a tissue while her arm was still over her face... yesterday she getting up to blow her nose every couple of minutes until i gave her my pack of tissues which

GET THIS:

she tried to REFUSE because she said she was gonna USE THEM ALL UP TOO QUICKLY but i said she should keep the whole pack anyways... i think she was grateful to not have to use paper towels anymore. every time she blew her nose it was super obvious she was trying to be quiet about it bc the blows were so wet. every time she blew a bit too hard by accident i heard a gurgling noise and she looked super embarrassed :(((

one of our friends asked if she was feeling better today (a bit less sniffly) and she said no bc "all the snot is moving to her lungs", although she was still sniffling after every (very wet) cough. her sweater sleeves had dried snot on them bc she was wiping her nose during class all day.

i ate lunch with her after class and i'm going to study with her again later today, i really hope i catch this cold it's so so snotty. everyone in this friend group (besides me) is way too casual about spreading colds bc they don't wanna miss study sessions/class so im wondering if anyone else will catch it... for their sake i hope it'll just be me. this cold sounds so snotty.

I've been kinda sneezy the past couple days (probably just a change in weather and not a cold sadly) and it's soooo fun

except for the fact that my sleeve, desk, laptop screen have all been sprayed pretty badly. my sneezes are super wet!! sneezing feels super satisfying to me, every sneeze feels really good :)))

i think. maybe. HOPEFULLY my nose is done misbehaving now, at least for the most part. besides a few lingering sniffles (and an itch that still won't leave) my nose feels a lot better. the only way i've been able to get the tickle to go away was by inducing, my natural sneezes are few and far between. the problem is relieving the itch made my nose SO MESSY, almost embarrassingly so (and thats coming from a massive messfucker lol). anytime i would sneeze more than once in span of a couple minutes i was forced to blow my nose or else be left literally dripping with mess. my sniffles, despite sounding horribly thick and congested, were never enough to keep my nose satisfied. my nose was full to the brim and i couldnt manage to keep it all inside.

for the sake of my nose i kept using the same pajama shirt to blow (ik, gross, sue me) and it was so much softer than the toilet paper, so it kept my nose from being rubbed raw and saved me the embarrassment of having a red nose in class all week. unfortunately that meant the shirt was literally soaked with mess by the end, the entire bottom part (where i was bringing it up to my face to blow) was covered, i ran out of dry spots that could reach my face. i tried sneezing into my hand instead, but that left my fingers covered in snot that stretched between them when i moved them apart from the cupped shape i used to cover my nose. blowing into my hand wasn't any better. my nose was gushing with snot that just wouldn't stop pouring out of me.

as if my nose wasn't messy enough, every sneeze sprayed like crazy too. im not really in the practice of covering when im by myself? so a couple times i forgot and sprayed the screen of my laptop while i was working on my assignments. i had to sanitize it REALLY well after a short fit left it drenched. after that i made sure to at least turn my head to the side when i sneezed, but this morning i noticed some spots i missed on the keyboard, so i won't be letting anyone touch my laptop until i can sanitize it again when im back home. this thing is definitely teeming with germs.

since i can usually avoid sneezing in public the mess isn't too much of an issue now, so i'm really just waiting to see if my nose gets stuffy or runny again during class/sitting still for long periods. the only close call i had was yesterday when i had to rush off to the bathroom after i thought i was gonna embarrass myself with my gross snuffling noises during physics.

if anyone has any questions (even if theyre horny ones) (maybe ESPECIALLY horny ones lol) shoot me a dm or comment it! i'll gladly keep talking about my nose and how it acted during this cold. i also have a lot of really short audio clips of sneezes and photos of mess from the past few days? idk if anyone would be interested in seeing that bc its like. REALLY gross. but let me know if you are!
