Every three months a new person remembers that in NJ it's illegal to pump your own gas and therefor posit that gas station employees in Gotham must therefore pump the Batmobile's gas. While this is of course a humorous image I implore everyone to remember that nothing Batman does is legal.

i see so many people writing fics and making shitposts with Jason not listening to Bruce because "last time i did i died hahaha" as if.. as if Bruce's last words to Jason werent "PLEASE JUST STAY HERE. STAY. SIT. STAY. BE SAFE." ???
You guys DO know that Bruce was in Ethiopia WITH Jason, and he was BEGGING his child to not get involved, and Jason directly disobeyed him. (not a critique, just pointing it out)
AND EVEN THEN, BRUCE IS DOING HIS BATMAN STUFF, UNAWARE THAT JASON HAS DISOBEYED HIM.
HE GIVES UP THE CHANCE TO GET JOKER'S ASS TO MAKE SURE JASON IS OKAY (he was not.)
and Bruce didn't "leave Jason for dead" he was on his way, he was so god damn close that he was RIGHT THERE when the explosion took place.
Sheila died in Bruce's arms saying how Jason threw himself in front of her to take the explosion, Bruce was so close that Sheila hadn't even DIED yet.

tl,dr: Jason was NOT left to die, Bruce EXPLICITLY TOLD HIM to stay put and Jason actively disobeyed him to make sure Sheila had protection. Bruce let the Joker get away in order to check in on Jason, and arrives SECONDS after the bomb goes off, he's so close he SEES THE EXPLOSION.
i bet if two face learned what a bisexual was he would be really excited. he would flip his coin every day to decide if he's going to be gay or straight

love the idea of brucie being so eccentrically queer, especially in later years. He lives in a massive gothic style stone mansion with a british butler and half a dozen adopted children that all look like him! he's the Prince of Gotham, he has got to get weirder!
Unnescescarily fancy umbrellas, Victorian style suits, full length woolen coats (that kind of look like a cape), heirloom pocketwatches and rings, boots with a bit of a heel. he quotes wilde and shakespeare and other poets and creatives. he's drama. he's flamboyant. he's adored.

i know people have fun with the whole "Batman is frigid" "Bruce is strict and never really understands whats going on with the kids" but like. thats Brucie Wayne.
He knows how to party, he knows how to get into trouble and flirt his way out, hes incredibly charismatic, incredible at shmoozing. He's a charmer. Hes a celebrity. This man knows all the latest trends all the popular music, pretty sure hes like 40 and still goes to the club and nobody can stop him, HES A KNOWN DIVA!!!. From what i remember, he was also pretty damn funny as Batman in the really old comics too.

On one hand, Young Justice is kind of neglected by the actual superheroes that should be looking out for them in a lot of crucial ways and very much failed by the adults around them
But on the other hand Red Tornado straight up hosts a parent-teacher conference where their respective legal guardians all show up, barring Batman who’s in traffic so Nightwing fills in instead because Robin’s dad does not know he’s a vigilante which is objectively hilarious
