some advice for people entering their 20s:
-dont go to the emergency room with dental problems. go to the dentist
-bagged greens are cheaper than pre-made salads
-taco bell is NOT worth the money anymore. 1/4 cup mayo, 1/4 cup sour cream, 3 tblspoons pickled jalapenos+2tblspoons of the jar liquid, 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder salt+pepper. all in your blender. creamy jalapeno sauce
-dont quit your job unless you have a bunch of job interviews lined up immediately after
-use resources. food bank, unemployment, housing assistance, financial aid, etc. yes there will be paperwork. but Do It
-dont stay awake longer than 20 hours. you Will start to become impulsive and cranky. resting for 20 minutes is better than trying to stay awake
-for every 2 hours you spend looking up close at screens, spend 20 minutes looking at something far away from you. stretch your wrists a lot
-dont do that yoga stretch where you roll your head around your shoulders. youre grinding down the joints in your neck
-be nice to your friends, bullying them as a joke gets old. if you need a ride somewhere at least offer them gas money
-brush your teeth at any time of the day but especially before you sleep. dont snack in bed if you can help it. make your bed the Clean Teeth Zone. keep floss picks by your bed
-dont tell your boss youre adhd/autism/depression/suicidal. dont trust your coworkers with that. you NEVER know how people will take it and its none of their business
-train your pets to go to the front door when they hear a fire alarm
-get regular oil changes
-the HR person at your job is not there to help you. They are there to help the company. Whatever they say, however nice they seem, their job is to put the COMPANY first. What you tell them is NOT confidential. Assume anything you say to them can and will get back to your boss.
-do not put anything incriminating in writing. Do not email complaints about coworkers / your boss / clients / customers etc on your work email or using your work chat or Slack or gchat or whatever they use
-if your boss is being a dipshit, you DO want to have those conversations over email to have a paper trail of them being a dipshit. Keep records, screenshots. Organize it in a folder (on a home computer or your phone or personal drive ). Even if you never do anything with it, it's good to have.
-when you go for a job interview, after the interview is over, send a "thank you" email to the person who interviewed you. Reiterate something you discussed in the interview (some bullshit about why youre so excited to work for theyre company or something they mentioned that you were interested to learn about etc etc) and how you look forward to discussing the opportunity soon.
-the purpose of your job is to make money so you can afford the things you need to survive, and with luck have nice things, too. The purpose of doing well is to make more money. The only point in putting in extra effort is to further that goal, so make sure you're being mindful of the balancing act. Do your work, do a good job, further your career, get raises, get a better job. Do not kill yourself working insane hours and suspending your entire life for this purpose. It is likely, especially at this level, your boss will only appreiciate or even notice so much of what you do. Good consistent work will likely get you just as far as extremely perfect wonderful incredible above and beyond work that you burned yourself out to do. I am serious. The may say "wow you work so hard thats so great!" But at the end of the day it wont pay off in the long run and you will just be burnt out.
Good consistent work is sustainable and practical. Keep work life balance. Go home and switch off notifications. Set boundaries. Prioritize your mental health and your physical health. Dont let anyone convince you that grinding away is somehow noble or good.

Anyone and everyone CAN write. The world’s most skilled writer didn’t start off skilled. The key is that they practice hard by writing a lot.
As long as you write, you are practicing your craft and you are getting better at writing. But you will never get anywhere if you let AI write for you.
Gingerbread build started
If you can guess what it's gonna be... i'll be very impressed!
It's of course Ever Ginger!
Bitches will say they want a "fairytale wedding" and then get offended when I show up uninvited and curse their firstborn.
No, no, you've got it all wrong. They want the sort of wedding you get at the end of a fairytale, not the beginning. You need to be inflicting gruesome punishments upon their least favorite relatives.
All I need for that is three glasses of wine and a permission.

hey remember that time jason todd died
This post is a summary/compilation of what we know regarding Jason Todd's death, specifically in post-crisis, as details change later on and across adaptations.
This initial post will cover what happened in the warehouse itself, culminating in the explosion. Here's a post on some of the direct fallout + one on my personal beef with that one death certificate. You know the one.
Disclaimer: I am, at the end of the day, one person who is relatively new to the DC fandom. It's entirely possible that I missed things! Please let me know if I skipped over anything relevant/made mistakes. There's a lot of I am not covering regarding how and why the characters are here, since we're focused on how his death happened.
The TL;DR relevant bits:
Jason did in fact disobey some of Bruce's instructions. This is not the same as me saying that the victim blaming is then okay.
Sheila Haywood betrayed Jason and intentionally lured him into the warehouse were the Joker was.
Jason was not tied up at any point, and it doesn't seem like the Joker did very much taunting.
Joker beat Jason with the crowbar for between 10-40 minutes.
Jason's first priority after all of that shit is to try to save Sheila.
Ads and commercials have always been kind of dystopic in an uncanny kind of way but they're really freaking me out these days.
The better health commercials- "you can't escape your crappy job, try talking to us!"
That's not funny. Also isn't it sad that most people don't really seem to have close friendships anymore and that you're selling the friend experience more than a doctor one because you can't actually fix anything?
The progressive commercial- "you should go on vacation; what's a vacation? ... I don't know I've never been on one either"
That's not funny. That's fucking awful. Can't you see that's not a fucking joke??
The e-banking app- "how much did I spend on groceries this month? 500?? -hey dad can the guys stay for dinner? - NO!"
That's not funny! THATS NOT FUNNY! It's not funny that we're not "a village" anymore. That we're not "the land of plenty" any more, that we're not the "open table" of a country we claimed to be for so long! It's not funny it's not funny it's not funny!!!!
On this day twenty years ago, Rose Tyler tried to find out more about the mysterious man known as the Doctor by googling "doctor". Iconic shit.
Can't afford art school?
After seeing post like this 👇
And this gem 👇
As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.
Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.
📺Here is my list:
Proko (Free, mostly teaches anatomy and how to draw people. But does have art talks and teaches the basics.)

Human anatomy for artist (not a video or teacher but the site is full of awesome refs to practice and get better at anatomy)
Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.
📚Here is my list:
The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.
"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.
"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.
"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.
"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.
"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.
"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.
"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.
"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.
Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.
📝As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. If you want to go fancy Michaels is always a good place for traditional supplies. They also get in some good sales and discounts. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are usually more expensive.
For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.
💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.
Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates. Galaxy, Windows, macOS, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chromebook device. )
Procreate ( pay once for $9.99 usd, IPAD & IPHONE ONLY)
Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, animation and more. Free)
PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)
Krita (Free)
mypaint (free)
FireAlpaca (free)
Aseprite ($19.99 usd but has a free trail, for pixel art Windows & macOS)
Drawpile (free and for if you want to draw with others)
IbisPaint (free, phone app ONLY)
Medibang (free, IPAD, Android and PC)
NOTE: Some of these can work on almost any computer like Clip and Sai but others will require a bit stronger computer like Blender. Please check their sites for if your computer is compatible.
So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.
I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
Hope this was helpful and have a great day.
"also apologies for any spelling or grammar errors, I have Dyslexia and it makes my brain go XP when it comes to speech or writing"
Boosting this in case any of the programs and books suggested are useful.
All the photos on this tumblr ad the animal photo reference site I run is another resource available for artists to use!
As long as you’re not using AI to create your art, you can reference / trace / draw / recombine / make any sort of art you want, with any of the photos, for free.
There's also MORPHO, a really good book series on anatomy by Michel Lauricella, with very clear explanations and sketches!
And for pose references, there's @adorkastock who shares a ton of them for free, with different models and props, and her website is amazing <3 you can also buy pose packs from her.
Hey.
Yeah you- the person reading this. Stop scrolling for a second.
You’re going to be okay. You have to believe that. It might take a long time and who knows how much work, but you’re going to be okay.
You’re going to be okay.
You’re going to be okay.
it is really weird what like. 4 years perspective on something you believed fully to your core will do
“yeah disappointment and heartbreak when plans or friends or romance doesnt work out hurt me too badly so now i just dont do that stuff or really hope for anything or get invested in anyone/anything anymore that way i can be surprised by nice happy things and bad stuff is just expected”
and my roommate at the time looked horrified and said “thats bad Bee??? thats so sad” and i didnt know what to say because id thought what i said was normal/a positive coping mechanism
btw this is, in my instance, the result of autistic burnout and childhood neglect. if you get so used to your needs and expectations not being met you learn to not have them because it is your only means of survival.
some people get angry and express their pain and are called ‘difficult’, some people shave themselves away until theres barely anything left and disappear to become ‘easier’. learning that disappearing to be easier on those around me was not kindness but, meaningless self destruction was a core part of learning how not to die.
‘I asked ChatGPT’. Boooooooo
I asked Shawn Spencer and he asked Gus and now I’ve heard it both ways
