i am not at all thrilled with my icons but at this point I’m just too tired to care

a big part of rick’s character is the fact that he doesn’t talk.. his feelings are his own and generally he isn’t going to share them with anyone. It leads to a lot of weight that he carries on his shoulders before the apoc and during. We see it when he’s just chatting in his squad car with Shane... we see it with Lori... literally anyone who has the sense of knowing rick in a way that’s closer than just, group leader.

in some extent he wants to talk... but the problem with rick is that he feels like he’s always gotta ‘be the man’. He clings to a semi-toxic masculinity that tells men they can’t be emotional because it’s weak. He can’t talk because that’s seen as too open... too much emotion for the world to see and with Rick it’s always everyone else before himself.

I’m going to be setting up my official rules, stuff and thangs.. but I wanted to make a post in the mean time.

I stopped watching the show after Glenn’s death… legitimately have no idea what happened after… so like… consider that where my ‘canon’ interactions will probably end as far as topics go. I prefer to write in seasons 1-3, but being that there’s a lot of folks in the Alexandria timeline that I love a lot, I will do Alexandria up until that point. Anything following consider it rewritten.

This blog was made for the pure enjoyment of myself and my friends. Activity will likely be slow (pretty much standard if you follow my other blog tbh) and I’d prefer to keep my interactions to low double digits if at all possible.

sad to say, this blog will likely be exclusive to canon characters in order to make the above happen… I normally try to keep myself open to everyone but this blog is here for some relax when I’m not feeling my other muse. don’t take this personally but this is where we’re at.
