Can you tell me about your "City of Whispers" setting? Is it an AU for hazbin hotel or its own thing?

City of Whispers is it's own setting, I just started doing the "Hazbin to Whisper" designs after someone compared my main boy Argent to a background character in the show.

Been planning it for a while, I am just very slow at the work.

The titular City is a location in the hereafter, where lost souls find themselves for a time. You hold yourself together with memories, but those same memories can also be traded away for goods or services.

Whisper is maintained by seven Princes- Vulture, Raven, Owl, Nightingale, Cardinal, Sparrow, and Robin. Accompanying each Prince is their Knight, a mortal soul elevated and set with the task of acting on their Prince's behalf in most matters; in order we have Sinclair, Lucien du Lac, Athene, [redacted, reworking], Skinner, Etheldred, and Hephaestus

Surprisingly, sometimes folks need the help of a detective in the afterlife... And that's where Argent comes in.

Another Hazbin redesign, this time Adam

I mostly focused on keeping a similar silhouette with the horns and long coat, and went for a suitable replacement occupation of cop (since the Biblical concepts do not make an appearance in Whisper beyond some characters' personal religious beliefs).

Now we have Officer Bellwether.

At first I wasn't sure how I was going to connect the horns, but what I like about putting them on his helmet is that it really illustrates how much of his authority and bravado is "put on", nothing but a costume he wears.

Okay, finally got around to post him!

Surprise, surprise, this is the Lucifer redesign. I went through SO MANY ideas trying to come up with something that would fit in my City of Whispers setting. I was going to keep his ringleader theme, but quickly abandoned it after a couple sketches; then tried depicting him as a priest- numerous versions including a Pentecostal snake handler- but none of those really stuck. Finally, it came to me, he should be a doctor!

Inspired by some truly vile men of medicine throughout history, I present to you

Dr. Rictus!

A surgeon from the early 1910s, he preyed on the poor, luring them in with a promise of treating their ailments for free, all while using them for various medical experiments.

His psychopomp is a rattlesnake, giving him venomous fangs and an elongated grin. He's not one to be trusted.

In short I threw Hazbin's Lucifer into the character blender and ignored the majority of the content in favor of jumping off and doing something different.
