As 4/13 is right around the corner I just wanted to remind everyone about the Unofficial Homestuck Collection. As Viz and the death of Flash have been slowly killing the intended Homestuck experience there is still a way to see it how it was meant.

This offline program allows for all the flash to be seen and mini games to be played as intended and helps protect from spoilers. If you are going to start reading Homestuck or are planning to trick some unsuspecting friend into reading please consider using this program!

Also! Homestuck has some language that has not aged well (i.e. slurs and unkind terms, especially towards the begining) so someone also made an optional patch that removes that language and replaces it with stuff that still keeps it funny! Not everything gets replaced outside the main comic but I know they are working on it!

Hi new allegations on Hiveswap's developement just dropped.

With both of these allegations together, it's becoming increasingly obvious why Homestuck's postcanon is so atrocious, in both writing and narrative and general aim to just "piss some fans off." Hussie just straight up screwed people over like he always did, and left them to pay for the consequences when he changed his mind. This is part of a long time pattern, and postcanon being handled by other people would mean this was always going to happen with Hussie being left in charge of a larger group.

To be clear, the new WP team isn't without fault either. There's valid things to criticize them for. However, Hussie did just leave them for dust when he realized it was going pear shaped lol. Dubious canonicity, my ass. Fuck this dude.

main points of the new article for those who don’t want to read the whole document (though I recommend you do, especially if you supported the kickstarter):

The 3D version of Hiveswap Act 1 was completed in 2014 and progress was being made on Act 2, but AH decided on a whim to scrap the whole project and start over with 2D art, which resulted in massive delays, firing of staff, and a ton of money spent for nothing.

Furthermore, AH allegedly used the kickstarter money to have The Odd Gentlemen work on animation for the *Act 7 animation* instead of Hiveswap while he supposedly worked on a master document. When this document was never delivered and TOG realized they weren’t going to be working in line with the agreed-upon schedule, they started work on King’s Quest. Notably, there was a post that accused TOG of taking the money given from the kickstarter to work on King’s Quest, but this suggests AH used that money to work on something unrelated to Hiveswap, and then threw TOG under the bus when they wouldn’t work with his sporadic and unprofessional requests.

Of course, it should be noted this is a single anonymous source, so you can decide how legitimate you think this is, but there aren’t many discrepancies between this account and other things we know about Hiveswap development- AH and What Pumpkin have a history of screwing over staff, hiding information from backers and fans, and generally being shitty, and none of this contradicts what we already know.
