She was finally here! The plane descended as the pilot said to fasten everyone’s seatbelts. After a few minutes, Izabella was walking on the ground of London. “Ah…! It feels so nice to stretch!” she said to herself, extending her arms upwards. She called a taxi after gathering her luggage, and was off to her hotel. When she got to her room, she took a shower and changed clothes so she could start exploring the city. After walking around a plaza for a bit, she saw a familiar face. “Who is that…? He looks so familiar…” she thought. Then it hit her. Dan. Dan Howell. THE danisnotonfire. “Oh my gosh…” she said under her breath. She had met him at Playlist Live and VidCon before, but she never saw him walking around, not doing a fan meetup. Should she ask him if he remembered her? She pondered it for a couple of minutes, and she came to her decision. Yes. Izabella walked towards Dan, and she forgot she didn’t even plan anything to say. “Crap, guess I’ll have to wing it.” she thought. “Um…Dan?” she said, hoping she’d catch his attention.

Dan turned his head to see a girl staring at him. She looked nervous. "Uh... Hi?" He made a little wave and smiled some. "Do I... Do I know you?" He was really confused, was this girl a fan? An old friend? A stalker? Dan had no idea, but he really hoped it wasn't something creepy.

No. You don’t understand. You’re all ignorant fuckwads. Let me explain you a thing. Female faces? They’re softer. As in regardless of bone structure their faces are SOFT looking. Because of this, light bends differently and catches angles differently and the what not. Its harder to animate/draw/paint the female form, as any artist. It’s the same issue with babies- the SOFTNESS of the figure makes it harder to art them. And now I’m done with this tangent flies into the sun.

female skin is NOT different from male skin, biologically

female skin isn’t softer, you’re just trained to think of it that way by media and our societal expectation that women use make-up to MAKE their skin look softer, which has not been done all throughout history and thus doesn’t actually make any sense in a movie set in a historical time period when nobody expected anybody to have flawless skin

the problem isn’t animating women

the problem is animating women to look like an ideal while still keeping them diverse

If animators treated women like humans beings they wouldn’t have this problem
