So I made a new years resolution to draw everyday this year, and as it turns out, I did not keep to that. But the excuse I'm gonna give is that drawing with a mouse sucked too much :P Well I can't really use that excuse anymore, since I saved up (well, I was saving up, but with how tight money is right now a nice friend of mine ended up giving me the money) to buy an art tablet! It's a Huion Inspiroy H640P, which is a bunch of syllables that put together mean nothing to me. It's just the cheapest art tablet I could find on amazon (27$) and it actually works really nicely. I also decided that if I want to actually make something resembling art, that I should actually practice. I used this website to get several references for still life images, and spent an hour just trying to recreate them and improve my line work. It isn't really good, but I'm okay with that. I have to be bad at something before I can be good at it. And so what matters is that I just put in an hour today, and that I'll put in an hour tomorrow, and the day after that. And some day, I'll look back and get to say that I improved. P.S. shoutout to all my amazing artist friends who inspire me to even try this.
