the first time you hear allison argent saying - “I freaked out like a girly girl. And I am not a girly girl", you just roll you eyes. its the early 2000s show. the fc is supposed to be 'not like other girls'. but then the show goes on and you see her family and then it clicks. its not just her wanting be different or pick me. its a deep ingrained conditioning that her family did to her. She is not supposed to be weak. She is supposed to be a the leader. she doesn't know that tho. all she knows is that her mother is strict and cold and her father very overprotective. They are raising her to be a cold and calculating matriarch that will lead the hunters. emotions have no place in that. that's why whenever there is scene of allison breaking down, she has to repress herself half way through, or if she breaks down completely she is ashamed of herself for doing that. just like after night school when she tells kate that she hated being powerless and scared and she didnt want to feel like that. when she first finds out about the existence of werewolves, her reality shifts and she breaks down and speeds up, and halfway crying tells the sherrif to write her a ticket cause even then she cant afford being this emotional and weak. When her mother pushes her to be tough, stating that girls who only worry about boyfriends and proms aren't strong. and she says "Can't I be strong and go to prom?". That's why she always insists on taking care of herself because that's what she's been taught to do. Even after she finds out that her family was in the wrong and her mother and aunt dies, even after being with her friends, she cant exactly let go of thay voice in her head that tells her that she cant be weak. The hallucination of her dead mother follows her. not to comfort her, but to yell at her to not be weak. And atlast my favorite scene. When she's in the elevator with the sherrif and she breaks down once again but this time she admits how scared she is and how powerless she feels and for once she gets comforted. maybe now she might be able to let go of the voice that tells her she cant be weak but then she dies.
the bite brought upon an type of pain he had never felt before. an intensity that felt like it was coursing through his arteries with such conviction that they could rupture from within. his vision can't seem to focus on anything and neither could his brain.
it hurts, should you stay down? should you stand up? should you question what had just happened? should you get out of there? is it safe to find your way home right now? you need to go home, you shouldn't have come here, why did you come here? why did you get bit? what was that thing? where did it come from? how are you still alive? how aren't you dead? why didn't it kill you? why are you thinking about all these things? is querida okay? is stiles okay? are you okay? are you safe now? is that thing going to come back? are you going to die? is it going to come back to kill you? you should really get up, stiles is calling out to you and you should respond, you should tell him its okay, you should let him take you home, you should patch yourself up before its too late, you should try your best to stay alive, you don't want to die tonight. you don't want to let it kill you tonight, you should really get to getting out of there.

You'd just be watching teen wolf and notice how masochistic Scott unintentionally is. I'm sorry, you got introduced to the most beautiful way to care for another living thing- taking their pain away- and you keep doing it to the point where it's used against you. Your girlfriend had to tell you to let go of a guy who was poisoned by a mutant scorpion chimera, and she and your mother had to physically separate you from the guy. And what the hell do you mean that if you're not feeling like it, you physically stop your body from healing itself? What the hell is that?
if Allison had survived up to s5 do u think Theo wouldve managed to created a wedge between her and Scott like he did with most characters or would it have been more of a Lydia situation where he wouldve been forced to physically remove away her from Scott since she wouldnt have budged? I love this premise and have thoughts on how it would work, which I've broken down into three parts.
The impact of Allison's death and how to account for it if she lives:
Allison's survival would have had a ripple effect on season 4 and 5. Yes, the show had a weird allergy to exploring traumatic impact, but even so, her death shapes the following seasons in significant ways. Beyond things like triggering the deadpool, her absence is felt immediately in Kate's return and Liam being bitten. If Allison had been around, Kate's return would have been the season's concern for her, rather than a haunting reminder of her death on top of the chaos of the deadpool. Scott could have turned to Allison--not to mention Isaac, who never would have left--when Liam was bitten, instead of frantically texting Chris. Chris would not be in France, I'm betting! I could go on and on, but the point is that her death has a ripple effect: not only the loss of Isaac and Chris, but the ongoing sense that the group isn't whole, that they're not operating at full capacity.
That shapes season 5 as well. Her death must have had an impact on Lydia's sense of isolation, on Stiles' paranoia about being vigilant, and absolutely on Scott's inclination to give Theo a chance. Theo appears on the same night that they grieve Allison's absence. As with Allison, Scott must have assumed that he'd never see Theo again--but he here is, miraculously returned! Allison's death incentivizes Theo's acceptance.
So, to preserve the sense of loss that shapes s4 and Theo's return, let's start by killing off Isaac during that fight with the Oni.

His death is the profound wound that's carried into s4: Scott's first bitten beta is now a painful reminder of his dead friend, Lydia's grief in s4 can be about Aiden, and Allison goes in with a sense of failure she needs to make up for. Kate's return only fans those flames. We'd get a big awesome fight between them at the end of s4, but Kate could still escape, and we could still lose Chris to the search for her afterwards.
In season 5, Theo's return now echoes Isaac's for Scott--another beta in need, seemingly eager to help.
Allison, meanwhile, enters season 5 with an increased sense of loss, loneliness, and anxious vigilance. Isaac would still be alive if she'd done a better job against the Oni. Scott would never have been turned into a berserker if she'd had the guts to hack her dead aunt in half. She's ready to do what it takes.
How Theo would approach Allison:
I think Theo would engineer a short-term wedge between Scott and Allison, a la the one he creates with Malia and Stiles re: Scott, based on how he handles the rest of the pack.
Theo's approach to the pack members depends on two things: what he wants from them, and how hard he thinks he'll have to work to keep them away on the supermoon.
With Lydia, for instance, he doesn't care what she thinks because he can simply exploit her banshee powers through brute force. He knocks her out, locks her up in the lab, and does what he wants with her until she's useless. Even when she's in Eichen, he'll simply use her to get to Parrish as necessary. She's not powerful enough to fight him and what he wants out of her has little to do with her thoughts.
With Liam, Kira, Malia, and Stiles, he's more interested in their potential for agency. Liam's usefulness is short term: he's there to kill Scott and die. Theo also has to do very little with Kira because the Doctors/her fox spirit handle it, so he stays hands off beyond using her sleep-talking to drive Scott away from her. She's gone well before the supermoon, which is his biggest concern.
He engineers a more emotional wedge to drive Stiles and Malia from Scott, exploiting their sense of guilt and fear of judgement, but I think people overlook the extent to which this devolves into practical measures to keep them away from Scott for the supermoon.
Theo clearly loves the idea of Malia and Stiles' violence, and stokes what he sees as those flames. He appears to Malia at Kylie's memorial with a promise not to judge her for killing her mother, the way Scott would. But then he reminds her that the chimeras need her help, in order to get her over to the hospital, where he simply locks her in a closet and throws away the key. The idea of Malia's darkness is attractive to him, but Theo doesn't really seem to think it's enough to keep Malia away from Scott in a crisis.
Similarly, Theo sends Donovan after Stiles and then uses the fallout to create a wedge between them, but I think people overlook how fragile that wedge is. When Stiles asks for Scott's advice re: Donovan, Scott tells him to go to someone he knows loves Stiles and would do anything for him--good advice! The convo with his dad in 5b is what finally convinces Stiles he's not guilty. And Stiles is on his way to do it when he runs into Parrish; he trusts Scott's advice. The next time Theo sees him, Stiles is dead set on getting to Scott. Theo rants about void!Stiles, but at the end of the day, he knows the only thing with even a chance of keeping Stiles from Scott is his father in mortal danger. With both Malia and Stiles, Theo seems confident that his knowledge about Corinne/the Beast will be leverage enough to manipulate them after Scott's murder. The rest is fungible.
So, with Allison, I think Theo would be similarly interested in her capacity for violence: her usefulness is about her ability as a hunter. At the same time, his concern is ultimately about keeping her away from Scott on the supermoon.
The wedge between Scott and Allison:
This isn't the only way you could do it, but it'd be so fun if the focus were Kira's raging fox spirit. It would complement other arcs nicely and build on what Allison has been through.
Allison would come into season 5 with an anxiety about handling the threat in time: Isaac's death and Kate's return could have been prevented if she'd just been more proactive, more decisive. You have to act quickly!
Maybe in this version, she's the first to notice the fox spirit behaving oddly, before anyone else. She becomes worried: about saving Kira, about making sure the fox spirit doesn't hurt anyone. She wants to be proactive.
She'd try to talk to Kira. Kira herself is anxious to talk about it, but maybe her fox spirit senses Allison's hostility: it attacks her when the two are alone. Now Allison has had this experience Kira has no memory of. The fox spirit is dangerous. Allison avoids Kira, who's hurt by it.
Maybe Allison is also anxious to talk to Scott about it. This could be early on in the season, when no one else has seen the fox spirit behave this way. Allison is reluctant to say something bad about Scott's girlfriend to Scott, given their own history and feelings.
Scott himself is incredibly anxious about Kira. He's hiding what he sees from Kira herself, and isn't eager to discuss it with anyone. He shuts the conversation down.
As month continues, everything gets more tense. Malia and Stiles are increasingly anxious and snappish on the topic of killers. Stiles refuses to acknowledge Kira might be dangerous, as he does in that one convo with Scott.
The fox spirit maybe kills someone? This gets dropped so bizarrely in the show, but in my version, it remains an issue! Kira is arrested and totally disoriented, the sheriff is aggressive, Melissa is furious, the Yukimura parents are busy trying to take the fall. Scott is falling apart. This is when Allison and Scott have their big fight, because Allison wants to talk about it and Scott can't handle it. Allison reveals that the fox spirit attacked her right at the beginning of the semester and Scott is upset that she kept that from him for weeks. They're both hurt and upset, and then Scott goes to deal with Kira leaving, while Allison becomes determined (with Theo's encouragement) to solve this mystery on her own--she can't rely on anyone else to help.
She spends the next week avoiding everyone as they all avoid her, and it's only on the day of the supermoon that she gets evidence it wasn't Kira. She's on her way to Scott to tell him when she runs into Theo, who makes sure she can't get to Scott.</3
