Headcanons for Natasha being your mother figure

- you were around 11-12 when you ended up on shields radar

-let’s just say a 6th grader who has powers they can’t quite control is hard to miss

-they realized you had potential, so they asked (not that there was much choice) if you would join the avengers

-you gladly accepted, wanting to help people with your new ability

-when you first arrived at the compound, Fury introduced you to the team

-Nat looks over and sees this literal baby, who’s averting everyone’s eye contact

-she immediately felt a connection

-like the moment she heard you shakily introduce yourself, she knew she was about to become a “parent”

-she offered to give you a tour around the compound, and tell you the basic gist of everything

-she used this as an opportunity to try and get you to open up a little, and try and learn about you

-even if you were closed off at first, after your first month at the compound, the two of you were inseparable

-if nat were somewhere, you were there (and vice versa)

-she would always help you train, and not only help you control your powers, but teach how to kick some serious ass

-on missions the two of you would always partner up

-“romanoff, you’re with stark”, “no i’m with y/n” “nat come on, we have to switch it up once in a while” “no”

-the two of you becoming the best team

-like you two could literally take down a whole room of enemies in less than 5 minutes

-not just being great fighting though

-the two of you love to binge watch shows together on netflix

-like bringing pillows, blankets, and snack onto the couch, and cuddling up with each other

-especially if she knows you’ve had a bad day, she’ll basically drag you onto the couch, and put on your favorite show/movie

-if you happen to fall asleep on her, and someone’s being too loud, one look from her is all it takes to shut them up

-she would 100% help you with school work

-she was a spy after all, she has a lot of general knowledge, as well as specialized knowledge

-if there was something she didn’t know (which was extremely rare) she would just force Bruce to help you

-one time on a mission, you two had to be on separate teams (despite both of your protests)

-you were paired with tony, and he forgot to cover a spot, resulting in you getting shot in the leg, and blacking out

-when you woke up in the medbay, not only was nat there holding your hand, but you saw tony with a massive black eye (courtesy of mama nat)

-she told you how worried she was, and she started to tear up when she mentioned how she thought she was gonna lose you

-this caused you to tear up, and you both give each other the biggest hug

-let’s just say that after that, you two were always allowed on the same team

-one day when you were 16, nat noticed you walking around with something in your hand, and you seemed nervous, and more quiet than usual

-eventually, you asked her to come in your room

-she was so worried something bad happened she basically sprinted in their

-she saw how nervous, and shaky you looked, and it reminded her of the first time she ever saw you

-“listen nat, feel free to say no, but um, i love you so much, and you’re basically like my mom, so uh”

-nat watched as you started to unfold the papers in your hands, as you gave them to her

-“i was wondering if maybe you wanted to make it official?”

-she looked over to see you shaking as hard as a leaf (though she could barely see through her own tears)

-her face broke out into the biggest grin, as she grabbed you, and pulled you into the tightest hug you’ve ever had

-“y/n, i love you so much, i would love to be your mom”

-the two of you hugging and crying together

-tony snapped a picture of it, and sent to to everyone as long as they promised not to tell you two, out of fear of getting another black eye

-everyone was so happy for the two of you

-in the end, nat getting to be the mom she had always wanted to be, and you getting a loving mother that you had always wanted.

-you were excited though, because now there was someone around your age on the team

-the two of you quickly bonded over stuff like enjoying similar movies, talking about school work, new trends, etc

-some even placed bets on who would make the first move
