I live in the US, and I had a strange moment today walking down an alley of my little town. Snow and ice still crusted the ground by the benches and not many cars were on the road.

It felt different- it had a silver quietness over it, a sadness. That kind we sometimes find ourselves putting on cold places far away, not here. That cold, poor north-ness. A kind of vulnerability.

My favorite coffee shop was much more crowded than most days today. The tea I had was wonderful, and I got to make someone like me smile.

I think you're wonderful too. No matter what anyone else says.

I manage a cafe here in Pittsburgh, and that was exactly the mood here. We were super busy, but no one seemed especially upbeat.

Cafe Bliss

Truly nothing like settling in at my favorite cafe to watch the sun set on a Friday evening

Sitting on the porch, decaf ice latte in hand, everything around bathed in thick yellow light

I never bother to look at the faces of the people passing on the sidewalk. I know I'm not really passing yet, but I felt like a goddess, so that's all that matters

Whenever I need to name a character, I peruse Behind The Name. I followed the same process in picking my name!

If you want a good classical western name, Ancient Greek names are a good place to start. Many old names have alternate spellings in the various languages that adopted them over the centuries

Also, keep in mind how the name might be shortened for nicknames. The more nicknames a name has, the more each relationship with your friends/family can be personalized :)

A list of names in which the usage is Ancient Greek.

I’m less versed in Chinese names but all of the pronunciations of Xia sound nice

If you go with Lorelei, you could go by Lei! Or Lori, or Lo!
