Thank you for gracing me with 6000+ followers recently. This is a blog I’ve worked on since I was only 16 years old, and I’m 22 now, so this kind of support throughout the years has been incredibly humbling and motivating, especially during times where my will to draw faltered.

I’d like to use this milestone to bring to attention ways to help the Black community right now. I’m not going to run my mouth about something I’m not in a position to give insight on (nor is my insight needed during these times), but please take a look at the following resources to aid in any way that you can, whether it’s by donating or signing petitions and sharing them or writing parole letters. Agnes Herczeg ; artist research ; inspiration for the weaving project.

Agnes was born in Kecskemét in Hungary. In 1997 she graduated from the Hungarian university of Fine Arts, majoring in textile conservation. She has extensively studied embroidery and lace making, using materials of only natural, vegetable origin, for eg. yarns, threads, tree branches, roots, fruits and seeds.

A fish trying not to get eaten wouldn’t slow down when the “predator” slows down. It also wouldn’t constantly swim in a circle near the edge of the tank; It’d try hiding. Also a fish in a tank in a a public place that is constantly filled with people is not likely to see people as predators.

yeah that fish is absolutely playing with that kid, if it really wanted to escape it would just dive into the reef in the center of the tank!

(Moorish Idols are reef fish and naturally will seek shelter in the nearest nook or cranny if they get scared.)

many people don’t realize this, but fish aren’t stupid animals! most of them are on par with mammals like mice and squirrels in terms of intelligence, and they absolutely do play.
