Second part of the vampire fic might just end up being me getting emotional every paragraph about baby Dan, actually,

Usually, he’s pretty sure, admitting to or being accused of being annoying in any way would have him double down on sarcasm whilst internally cringing at himself, begging himself to stop, stomach churning with shame and guilt. Except whatever Phil’s vampire powers have done yesterday, it’s still going strong enough today that Dan holds the certainty of his love right there in his bones. He feels stupidly safe, cradled into Phil’s assurance that nothing Dan could do, or be, right now, would change anything at all. It turns out it can be pretty fun, when you don’t fear being abandoned or judged or mocked for it, to be kind of a little shit.
