Lead me to the end of myself, take me to the edge of something greater...
Make It Happen
There are people who make things happen, there are people who watch things happen & there are people who wonder what happened. -Mark Hill
Remember the Homeless & Cold
Let's remember those that are homeless and suffering through the cold nights. We can't help them all, but we can reach out and help one. Let us continue to pray for those that are on the streets and ask the Lord to help them and keep them safe and warm. "Share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house, and when you see the naked, cover them..." Isaiah 58:7.

Comfort and Peace
We have seen many loved ones, friends, officers, and legends pass away this year, I pray that through our sorrow and grief, we find great peace and comfort in the Lord.

Promise
Don't miss it! Make room for Him to come in!
I believe the story of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus is a beautiful, true story. I believe that God has risen up Marys and Josephs on the earth today to birth forth promises of God! I love this story, because it's about real people, like me and you, and real events.
Mary and Joseph were obedient and submissive to the Lord. And it couldn't be easy for either one of them- for Mary carried a baby placed inside her womb by the Holy Spirit. A young girl, filled with great faith and hope, about to be wed to a man that had no idea she was now carrying a promise of God and hope for a nation. Joseph, when he found out Mary was pregnant, was ready to quietly divorce her. It took an angel of the Lord to reveal what was going on and encourage him to take Mary as his wife. As Mary and Joseph entered Bethlehem, Mary was about to give birth to Jesus. There was no room for them in the inn. There was no king size bed for Mary to lay on. There were no family or friends around to support them as the birthing process began. It was only Mary and Joseph, in a stable flled with dirt, dung, and hay. Imagine the smell, imagine the sights, imagine the commotion of the animals in that stable that night. Imagine how the two felt all alone, in the dark, and in the cold. Imagine the pain Mary endured. Imagine her cries! Imagine how Joseph felt in helping Mary, coaching Mary, and tending to Mary and the baby! Imagine a very long, grueling night for the two! But, God had a purpose and a plan, through two very human individuals to bring forth great hope, great peace.
That very night, angels came to shepherds watching the flock in the field and told them about the birth of the baby. Isn't it funny, how the news could have been brought to anyone? A rich young ruler, a High Priest, a tradesman? But, the angels declared the wonderful news to lowly, meek shepherds in the pastures, outside of the city! Why? Because God cares for them, too. I was reminded of the scripture that "the pure in heart will see God!" The shepherds found the babe in the stable and shared the good news to those that would listen to them and the people stood in awe! (Luke 2:17-18) Could the shepherds be used to revive the hearts of the people in that little town of Bethlehem?
It is so good to know that God uses everyday, average people who seek Him and His heart to birth forth dreams, visions, and purposes of God! It is so good to know that God uses lowly, meek servants, such as shepherds to tell of the Good News of the coming of Christ!
The Lord wants us to know that great things have been birthed forth this season. The Kingdom of God is not only near, it is at hand! The Kingdom of God is in our midst. Heaven is invading earth and a great awakening has now begun! God is calling those in to His Kingdom that have once been lowly, forsaken, abandoned, forgotten, poor, and neglected and He is calling them chosen, daughters and sons, adopted, and remembered. His love is conquering every part of their being and His huge heart is arresting their heart! He is pulling them in to His safe haven, His resting place.
In the story of Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus, there were two prophets in the temple of God. As the couple entered the temple, carrying the promise, the prophets recognized the baby! They both began to prophesy because they now laid eyes on this holy child and knew what He was born to do. No one had to announce or declare in the temple who Jesus was and what He was about! No, these prophets recognized Him right away because the Lord revealed to them who He was! So, it is today. God will reveal to those who are seeking God and searching for answers- this great hope, this great promise, this great peace, healing, faith, and joy... everything that the people will need will come from the heart of God! Be encouraged!
Please don't miss what God is doing on the earth now. Don't miss the opportunity of experiencing heaven on earth. Don't miss the Kingdom of God on this land. Don't pass by the carriers of this great promise. Don't pass by this lowly scene. Take a minute or two and make room, make room for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to come in! Make room- no matter what it may look like, no matter what it may sound like, no matter what it may smell like... take time! Make room! Let the King of Glory come in!!! He's ready to invade your heart, your home, your land!

Modern-Day Marys:
I have been studying and meditating on the story of Jesus' birth for the last few months and have felt the urge to highlight key elements regarding this story.
But, as for now, I want to speak to the "Marys"! :) I believe the Lord wants you to know that He remembers that day you were given a promise. You were even given a promise of a baby. And now, you are without your Joseph. But, the Lord would have you to know that it was not Joseph that impregnated Mary that special day. But, it was the Holy Spirit that came upon her. She was given a promise, a baby within her womb, that no man could give. She was favored by God because of her heart and because of her worship. She was favored by God because He knew she would say, "I am yours, Lord, and whatever you will in me, I will fulfill." She was surrendered unto Him and obedient unto Him, even despite what others would say or how they would now treat her. But, remember, Mary, that although you were looked down upon, misunderstood, or rejected, this will all change when the baby comes! That promise will change the hearts and lives of those around you and will point many to the Lord! They will glorify the name of Jesus and will tell others, "look what the Lord has done!" Hope comes again!
I want you to know that in your surrender, in your life of worship, you are favored. You may not have Joesph to cover you and protect you and that baby (promise), but know without a shadow of doubt, that you are favored and the LORD covers you beneath His pinnacles. He will lead you and guide you and show you how to take care of this promise and how to nurture it and help it grow. Walk with Him through faith, Mary. You will see great and marvelous things and hide them in your heart!
