I am not a Christian but I do love people who are less fortunate than me. I love people who are mentally ill and need help. I love substance abusers. I love the homeless. I love people who have hurt themselves. I love sex workers and prostitutes. I love people who are lbgtqia+. I love child free women. I love people who have different religions. I love women who have had abortions. I love teen parents. I love unmarried people.

And if those people are not allowed into heaven, than I am more capable of love than your god.

I have a friend who doesn't have a lot of this world's stuff and struggles to pay his daily expenses and bills. I have more than most and help him often.

One day, he offered to give me some Raman Noodles. Initially, I thought "he needs food more than me" and was going to turn down the offer. But then it hit me that this may be his way of wanting to give instead of always being the recipient. I accepted his offer.

The less fortunate want to give and share too. Give them the chance. Take what they offer or make the opportunity for them to feel needed.

Caring for others is not about making you feel good to give back, and taking photos to help your public image and ego, it is about shifting the focus from yourself to others to ensure that they too can enjoy a happy life.

To me, it doesn’t really matter if [my son] is a lawyer, a doctor or a salesman. He should grow up to be a good human being. A person who will have time and compassion for those who are less fortunate than him. I want him to have a life where he has time to stop and smell the flowers. I want his life to be a journey of surprises and discovery, not one where he is in a constant rush. Let him be anything he wants to be as long as he is happy. He should lead his life according to standards he sets for himself and he should not live to please others. He should have the discipline to resist evil and the same discipline not to overindulge. He knows my weaknesses and my strengths, and with that knowledge, he should be able to build his own strengths and discard what is not good for him.
