Forgive the ramble. I just saw your artwork and it made me think of how I want to do a Lyanna/Rhaegar where they are engaged from the begining. Lyanna comes to stay at King's Landing. Elia is chilling with Baelor Hightower so she doesn't appear much. Cersei, on the other, hand does. She is an antagonist because her father is Tywin Lannister and she wants to be queen, not that badly behaved, barely a lady, she-wolf (which she is not wrong about because well Lyanna acts out). One thing I'm hoping to do, like seriously prayed that I can do is have Cersei be sympathetic (because agian, her opinions on Lyanna are not entirely wrong and her father is Tywin Lannister), and give her some growth until she and Lyanna are more frenemies than enemies.

Also your artwork is great. I just wanted to let you know that I agree and hope that I can write two formidable flawed women without demonizing one of them.

thank you so much! I think so much about young Cersie, Lyanna, and Elia; and the two kinda shitty men that they were all put in competition for. I agree that Cersie is fated to be antagonistic partly because of Tywin and partly because she's Like That. I love complex women!

ok so, I approached my local library with a proposal to donate a mural as a way to A: build portfolio/gain practical experience and B: give back to a beloved public institution. The director was very enthusiastic about it and i've been working on it since the beginning of March. Come with me as I endeavor to paint what is in all honesty an excessive amount of birds

I wanted the birds to look like they were actually in the space so first thing after doing the draft was to do a lighting study

after that I covered the walls in letters in lieu of a projector/vr headset bc i have neither of those :) Then i take a picture of the section of wall and superimpose the lineart over top of it so I can pencil in the lines
