scene : childhood-friend(?) Taesan x a very very clingy reader when he has to go back to his busy schedule.
you hate that you didn't get a wink of sleep because you would have to be the one to wake him up after the night's over.
you hate that you'd need to gently shake him awake and watch his eyes flutter into awareness as he greets you with his half-asleep smile that tugs at your heart each time.
you hate how your cat always tries to stop you from waking him up because she thinks that you're going to take him away and she won't know how long it'll be before she can see him again.
you hate that you're never sure either, how long it'll be before you'll see him again after you've sent him away.
"y/n-ah," he blinks awake, resting a palm on your pouty face, "don't you think it's weird to watch someone sleep?"
a whiskered smirk creases into his eyes as you continue to sulk instead of answering him.
your keep your eyes on the boy inches from your face as your head remains rested on the mattress and your legs stay tucked on the cold floor, not budging.
"you know I can't do that," he laughs softly.
the teasing nickname causes a faint blush to dust your cheeks. Too bad for him however, his attempt to distract you won't work this time.
your brooding continues as you latch onto the boy whose trying to get out of bed.
"no workkk," you whine, trying to keep Taesan in his bed with your arms and legs hooked around his torso, but to no avail as he manages to pick you up with him almost effortlessly.
"i see the girls are giving you a hard time?" your dad quirks an eyebrow, amused at the scene of you and your cat clinging onto Taesan like christmas ornaments.
"more or less," you feel him chuckle.
You watch Taesan shut the boot of the taxi parked outside your house after he had finally manages to shake you off.
"c'mon, I'll miss my train at this rate," he sighs lightly, with no actual urgency to his tone.
"when are you coming back?" you ask, even though you know he'd never actually give you an accurate response. He never does.
"when i can," the boy offers his most promising smile.
"...have a safe trip," you avert your gaze. You know you would've started welling up if you looked at him too long. You always do.
"i will," he pats your head, "byebye, y/n."
he leans down, leaving a peck onto your forehead, as quickly as he did.
your body remains tensed as the car slowly disappeares into the distance.
