people who are obsessed with IQ would buckle if there was a number associated with how pleasant you are to interact with
happy autism awareness day to all the girls who had â friendsâ growing up who were actually bullying them . to the girls who always sat alone in the grass and wondered why nobody wanted to talk . to the girls who spoke to animals like they were listening . to the girls who created a little world in their room . to the girls who always felt ashamed for how deeply they love things and how passionately they enjoyed media . to the girls who covered their ears when they were overwhelmed by everything . to the girls who carrying a special thing around to feel safe . to the girls who never understood what they did wrong to feel so lonely . to the girls who were diagnosed later in life because they werenât little boys who liked trains. you are so special and beautiful and youâre not worse for it, you love deeply and that is so wonderful please never try to push that down . I LOVE YOU !!!!!
girl nothing is ever gonna be all the way together just enjoy the bits and pieces #yourfragments
To my 25 - 35 year olds, you've reached the age where people around you are starting to give up on themselves because they think it's too late. Don't let that energy rub off on you. It's not too late.
"Sometimes while I ride the subway I try to look at each person and imagine what they look like to someone who is totally in love with them. I think everyone has had someone look at them that way, whether it was a lover, or a parent, or a friend, whether they know it or not. It's a wonderful thing, to look at someone to whom I would never be attracted and think about what looking at them feels like to someone who is devouring every part of their image, who has invisible strings that are connected to this person tied to every part of their body. I think this fun pastime is a way of cultivating compassion. It feels good to think about people that way, and to use that part of my mind that I think is traditionally reserved for a tiny portion of people I'll meet in my life to appreciate the general public. I wish I thought about people like this more often. I think it's the opposite of what our culture teaches us to do. We prefer to pick people apart to find their flaws. Cultivating these feelings of love or appreciation for random people, and even for people I don't like, makes me a more forgiving and appreciative person toward myself and people I love. Also, it's just a really excellent pastime."

26.03.2026 // how to live in a world going to shit
long day of class, meetings, readings and writings. anyway, it boggles my mind how evil humans have historically been and continue to be. we learn nothing. truly, hope is radical. as are kindness and empathy. just one of those days when i'm feeling extremely disillusioned with the state of the world, so i return to trying to romanticise my life.
for all the artists out there, here are my favorite resources i use to learn!

realized i forgot to refill my birth control and had to miss my dose for first time in 3 months. went to bed 2 hours later than i usually do. woke up with husband already out of the bed to do a work thing even tho it's still holiday break. took my vyvanse an hour later than i usually do. payday was 12 hours than it usually comes in. left bed an hour later than i usually do. too many disruptions/changes from my/our routine now and I'm not faring well in response to it (barked and hissed at my husband for still not having had breakfast like him also not taking care of himself makes me feel even more like the day is in shambles) angrily directed my husband to mini croissants, banana bread, and whole coffee beans (his favourites / seamless grab foods) that i had delivered to us along with my other dietary restriction snackies for the next 2 weeks. he's respecting leaving me alone while he follows through on a thing after getting sidetracked for 3 hours. it's day 2 of 2026, im sitting in the dark, in the corner of my hobby room in a chaise doing nonverbal nothing waiting for the frustration to pass.
in summation, too many changes of routine makes me a very irritable feral person.
after volunteering at a harm reduction agency for a couple months i can confidently say that addicts and homeless people (and homeless addicts) are not the boogeymen people make them out to be. they all just want coffee and candy. there's all this fear mongering and meanwhile your local addict is just some guy drinking a double double with slightly smaller pupils than normal.
and before you bring up a bad thing an addict has done, please remember that sober people have also done bad shit and that the majority of addicts are totally safe to be around. if you want to talk about how scary addicts are, i will talk about all the customers i had at my old job who made me fear for my life. stop fear mongering and start actually meeting addicts. yes, they can be scary, but so can anybody. fear mongering about addicts only leads to discriminatory policies and policing, which increases violence against them and worsens the problem.
the scariest thing about addiction isn't the addicts. it's the blood on the hands of politicians.

reasons people might be looking at you in public (that arenât negative)
they like what youâre wearing.
you look like someone they know.
they recognize a piece of clothing or accessory youâre wearing.
they think youâre beautiful or attractive.
theyâre not actually looking at you; theyâre completely zoned out.
they're bored and people-watching.
they recognize you from somewhere.
theyâre hesitating to ask you something or give you a compliment.
theyâve seen you in that same place before.
you caught their eye.
you look like how they imagined a fictional character to look.
youâre actively reminding them of something completely unrelated and theyâre thinking about it.
theyâre admiring one of your visual qualities (smile, stance, hairstyle).

8 hour work days should legit come with two full meals they have to provide for you
