kaminari got eleventh place on the UA entrance exam and i refuse to believe otherwise. if not for the canon scoreboard, he realistically would have gotten third or fourth. his quirk was perfect for that exam (electricity to short circuit robots), and kaminari is damn well smart enough to utilize his power efficiently.

man Mob Psycho 100 really looked at "extraordinary/superhero teen" narratives and said "it's fucked up we expect a child to solve these fucking problems, what the fuck, they should be focusing on growing and developing their interests and making friends, not dealing with this bullshit" and it literally, textually, had the most prominent parental/nurturing figure tell Mob he would take care of the problem, even though he had no superpowers, and it literally, textually acknowledged that Mob HAD THE RIGHT to run away and wash his hands off the problem because it wasn't NONE OF HIS RESPONSABILITY to fix adult bullshit, and not only that, but it also gave Mob many many narrative foils, children who had been caught up on feeling the obligation to be "extraordinary superhero teens," because how else could they be special?, and said these children need to realize it's okay to fail, and they need healing, and then GAVE IT TO THEM. and it's Mob's own shortcomings and his impulse to better himself what inspires others to grow. like talk about a breath of fresh air. I love that story so much.

You wanted this- you both wanted this- but right now, surrounded by everything you own neatly packed away, uneasiness churns your stomach. "Is there anything left in the car?"

"No," he says, fists stuffed into his pockets, "That's it."

"Oh," Silence sits between you as you consider what to say, "Then, I guess we're officially living together."

He's avoiding your gaze, picking at the peeling tape at the corner of a particularly poorly packed box. "You don't seem happy about that." he sighs.

"I am! I'm just- just... nervous, I guess." you admit, "Very happy, a little nervous."

He smiles, the sharp edge of his canine catching the corner of his lip to bite back his amusement. "I am too," he pushes off of the boxes and strides towards you tentatively.

Kentarou at home, Kentarou in love, is much softer than he usually pretends to be, each touch and movement seeming to ask 'is this okay?' His hand finds your waist and guides you to him, chest against chest. You melt into him, hands on his shoulder as you reflexively search for a kiss.

Instead, Kyotani presses his forehead into the crook of your neck, "I can't believe I get to wake up next to you every morning." his hand wanders south, gripping the soft of your ass, "And hold you every night."

"It's not going to be all sunshine and rainbows-" you remind him, "We're going to have fights."

Kyotani presses his lips into your neck in a chaste kiss as he pulls you tighter. "That's okay. We'll get through it."
