why do I strive so hard to be taken seriously, not everyone is meant for that. There is literal divinity, in many mythologies where their main goal, above all else, isn't to be taken seriously, or to lead, or to even be all that important in whatever grand scheme their myths are about, but literally just to challenge.

I'm obviously talking about trickster deities. But that's not where it ends. Ever thought about court jesters? Like REALLY thought about them. How they were able to challenge a king's authority by simply not being taken seriously.

Why should all people be trying to be taken seriously, automatically believed as right, automatically chosen, when that isn't what everyone is built or made for.

Clowns are, in my opinion, a form of resistance against whatever rigid systems we find ourselves in as humans. Whether that be political systems, gender binaries, or what we do and do not consider to be moral.

Being odd, silly, weird, loud, and strange. Costumes and makeup that challenge people's idea of what "normal" or "acceptable" is. To perform is to speak out, to be a clown is to stop waiting for people to hear you.

In conclusion, clowns are punk, go spread joy.
