I know it messes with the difficulty, but I hate having to kill spiders when the very basic technology is right there (spiders are friends)
any planks (5 or 6) + iron ingot (1) in a specific configuration = spinning wheel
spinning wheel could be a possible Villager work station
you can make a sleeping beauty reference if you want
if you wanna balance it out a bit, it could take an incredibly long time while requiring the player to be viewing the interface for progress to be made
turn any planks into Painted [any color] Planks
might even remove plank functionality in crafting certain recipes (but please add slabs, stairs, fences, etc. for each color?)

like I was surprised when I found out tamed wolves stay wolves? what’s up with that?

I had a close look at a zombie in creative mode as it converted to drowned recently and and the difference is… just not fair
drowned have such cool details with being a newer mob and zombies deserve the same flair!

idk man the wikipedia article for elevators is too long but if you can do redstone stuff you should be able to make a carriage go up and down with a rope
just feels more like a real mine if I can descend while standing in a box, watching the stone wall fly past me while I wait for my stop

if the rope is broken, the carriage falls and drops as an item once it hits the first solid block beneath it, but any players in/on it will take damage as though they fell the whole way on their own.
players on the ground where the carriage crashes also take damage
