Eloise grabbed the attention of the first person she could, with the horrible sense of dread hanging over this town.  A horrible sense of anxiety filled her, armed with a family photo she pointed between her two brothers.  “Have you seen either of these two boys, their names are Jem and Ellias.. they are probably being idiots or jackasses or something somewhere, but I just need to find them.” Her words were filled with concern and honestly love, she just wanted to find them.  To know they were safe..

                     FLIPPING  THE  BOOK  AROUND  TO  read  the  synposis  ,  tilly  bit  her  lip  in  contemplation  .  her  eyes  pick  up  at  the  sight  of  another  joining  her  in  the  aisle  ,  smiling  out  of  courtesy  .  it’s  only  when  she  notices  the  familiar  uniform  that  she  decides  to  branch  out  .      ❝  d'you  know  if  this  book  is  any  good  ?  ❞      she  held  up  the  novel  ,  fifty  shades  of  grey  .      ❝  i  heard  mixed  reviews  about  it  .  not  sure  if  it’s  the  kind  of  spice  i’m  looking  for  though  ,  ❞      placing  it  down  ,  she  picked  up  the  sequel  .      ❝  although  ,  i  heard  it  was  originally  a  fanfiction  for  a  vampire  movie  .  weird  ,  huh  ?  not  sure  how  bdsm  and  vampirism  would  mix  .  but  i  guess  if  there’s  a  will  ,  there’s  a  way  ?  ❞

there was nothing more she loved than taking care of animals and rescuing them too. it was that week that she had recused 12 puppies. all teddy bear puppies from a mill.  "you wouldn’t believe how horrible that place was.“ a sigh escaping her lips, she held one of the puppies in her arms as it slept. "it was dirty too. thank the lord we got them out of there though.” she was more thankful that she had help too.

                                   she   didn’t   need   to   have   her   brother’s   gift   to   know   what her   mate   was   thinking.  the pixie-like vampire had become very intuitive since meeting edward cullen. and jasper–- well after meeting him, she was quick to pick up reading him. he meant more to her than anyone, even before meeting him. having seen their future, she knew there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do. like now, he had brought up the thought of their family possibly running their course with forks. she knew it was running through his head now and while she wanted to stay as long as they could, she was starting to agree.

with her hand in his, alice glancing down at their hands. it was a simple gesture but one that meant everything. it was comforting and warm ( despite them both being physically cold ). her golden eyes are glancing back up just in time to meet his gaze and the silence spoke for them both. they were upset, worried, and glad that the other was okay ( physically ) .  when she had been with emmett before, alice felt more then her arm break. the pain she felt at seeing him in such a state hurt more then any damage he could inflict on her. “ he doesn’t deserve this. ” he had only been trying to help! she wanted to cry. he’ll be fine. we’ll figure it  out.  and then what? we deal with it all over again? “ i know– i know. ” she may lose hope at times, but she’d never fully give into that. they’d figure it all out  “  t o g e t h e r .  ”  it was a promise. 

          TOGETHER ,   OR   NOT   AT   ALL .    he   is   so   deeply ,   fiercely   glad   that   through   all   this ,   every   catastrophe   this   town   has   endured ,   he’s   had   alice   by   his   side .     like   a   vice   around   his   chest   has   finally   loosened ,   it   is   far   easier   to   breathe   when   she’s   holding   his   hand .     he   lets   out   a   sigh ,   letting   his   forehead   fall   against   hers ,   and   allows   the   tension   to   ease .

                       SO  THE  CAT’S  OUT  OF  THE  BAG  –  or,  wolf,  it  seems.  it’s  one  thing  that  maddie  isn’t  terrified  or  treating  her  any  differently  than  surprised  after  the  entire  situation,  but  the  girl  already  knows.  violet  was  expecting  to  explain  everything  to  her,  unaware  that  madeleine  already  knew  everything.  it  turns  the  cards,  placing  violet  as  the  one  shocked  by  the  revelation.    ❝    how  do  you  already  know  ?    ❞    she  wonders  if  she’s  putting  her  nose  where  it  doesn’t  belong,  but  since  everything’s  being  put  on  the  table,  she  figures  there’s  no  true  harm  in  asking.  besides,  if  the  other  has  seen  her  at  her  worst,  violet  feels  comfortable  asking  questions.    ❝    you’re  an  untriggered  werewolf.    ❞    it’s  a  conclusion  on  what  she’s  being  told,  connecting  the  dots  and  wondering  if  that’s  how  she  knows  about  the  supernatural.  violet  knows  her  sister’s  in  town,  perhaps  that’s  who  told  her.  if  madeleine  knows  she’s  an  untriggered  werewolf,  then  someone  told  her,  someone  told  her  about  everything.

         SHE   HAD   WONDERED ,   BRIEFLY ,   JUST   how   she’d   tell   violet ,   tell   anyone ,   the   truth   if   the   time   came .     what’s   the   easy   way   to   say ,   hey ,   i’m   cursed ?     is   there   one   at   all ?     this   revelation   should   make   things   easier ,   but   somehow ,   she   doesn’t   feel   better   at   all .        ❛     is   shifting   always   so  .  .  .   like   that ?     ❜       wild .     she   waves   a   hand   in   the   air ,   a   little   helplessly .     she’d   wanted   before ,   secret   and   shameful .     in   a   world   full   of   the   fantastical ,   being   human   felt   almost   unfair .     now ,   she’s   not   so   sure .       ❛     my   sister   told   me .     our   whole   family’s   supernatural .     ❜        maybe   now ,   that   she’s   spilling   every   other   secret ,   it’s   time   for   the   last   one   to   come   to   light .     she   resolves   to   talk   to   her   mother .        ❛     did   you   always   know ,   or ?     ❜

it had been so long since she had last seen him. memories from that summer flashed through her mind. a summer romance she never forgot.  she never once forgot benjamin either. even after she went to college and got married not long after graduating. in a way, he always had a place in her heart. though that wasn’t something she voiced out loud. nor had she mentioned to her siblings either.  watching as he walked over, a smile formed on her lips. her heart was starting to race as well. which was rare.

it wasn’t every day that someone could make her heart race too.  "who else would it be if it wasn’t me?“ she teased. a small laugh escaping her lips as she gazed at him. "still charming as ever.” she spoke when he started asking her questions. “i’m fine.  and i’m here because of my siblings.” that and a fresh start was something else she needed too “how have you been?”

          ALL   THE   YEARS   THAT   HAVE    gone   by ,   and   he’d   never   thought ,   not   really ,   that   he’d   ever   see   her   again .     sure---   it   had   crossed   his   mind   once   or   twice .     perhaps   he   could   have   looked   her   up .     in   these   times   they   live ,   how   hard   would   it   be ?     but   he’d   had   his   own   life   to   think   of ,   and   clearly   --   he   glances   at   the   baby   in   the   stroller ,   fast   asleep .     josephine .     a   mother .     how   strange   is   that ?   --   so   had   she .       ❛     i’m   sorry ,     ❜       he   says ,   sheepish ,       ❛     i   got   ahead   of   myself .     it’s   good   to   see   you .     ❜

Charlotte moved through the cullen house, with care.  Each step as if she walking around a powder keg about to blow up.  She made her way from the guest room, to the room she knew was Alice and Jasper.  Knocking on the door, “Hey Jazzy, it is me.” Charlotte called out before opening the door with closed eyes just in case Alice and Him were together.  “Peter told me he already stopped in and  I can’t believe he beat me to it.”

nicky’s foot hit the bike one more time. the clanging of his boot hitting against the tire floated back into the air and a mutter of frustration hit his lips. even with milo’s pointed realization, nicky still didn’t want to believe it, but he knew if hit the bike one more time that he wouldn’t be able to stop. then bike would really be ruined. this stupid bike. his bike. ruined. an eye-roll unwillingly forced its way onto his face, his body leaning against the seat of the bike and his attention lazily settling onto milo, a once red rage slipping into something lighter. “looks like we don’t have much of a choice.” it was either stay and get soaked or run back into town. neither of which nicky wanted to do. “race you there?” 

         FINALLY .     HAD   HE   MUST ,   MILO   would   have   waited   while   nicky   took   out   his   frustrations   on   the   motorbike ,   but   he   can’t   say   he   was   looking   forward   to   it .     dusting   off   his   jeans ,   flicking   rain   from   his   eyes   (   a   rather   useless   endeavor ,   as   it’s   replaced   within   the   second   ) ,   he   stands   up .       ❛     leaving   the   bike   to   get   towed ?     ❜       a   good   idea ,   actually .     if   the   two   of   them   had   attempted   to   drag   it   back ,   he’s   sure   the   poor   thing   would   somehow  end   up   in   worse   shape .       ❛     you’re   on ,   man .     winner   gets   lunch ?     ❜       without   waiting   for   the   affirmative ,   he’s   up   and   off ,   laughter   ringing   behind   him .       ❛     just   try   and   catch   me !     ❜

their pinkies tightened at the sound of her promise and atlas’ mind scrambled in a mess of vivid memories of his days meeting annalisa. “well,” he began, moving his arm from across the table to rub his fingers lightly across the base of his chin. it was a rather nervous habit he found himself doing these days. when he wasn’t stuttering over his sentences, he was finding other ways to execute his nerves or embarrassment. but this was maddie he was talking to. if there was anyone on this planet he should be relaxed with it had to be her. “we met at salem records. I was geeking out like an idiot over the store and she came up to me with her notebook raised up with a sentence drawn across it,” he paused for a moment. a piece of realization about the girl sprouting as his face flushed pink and bright. “she, um, communicates with sign language and her notebook. and, uh, s-she invited me out on a hike so I got her number. she showed me all these cool spots on our hike and then we hung out at the movie thing they did in the park. it was a great time, I wish you coulda been there.”

          WITH   A   DELIGHT   USUALLY   RESERVED   for   particularly   fluffy   dogs ,   (   well ,   they   are   werewolves .     same   difference ,  right ?   )   madeleine   barely   restrains   herself   before   she   coos .     she   can’t   help   it ,   okay ?     this   is   the   best   thing   to   happen   all   week .     idly   toying   with   her   straw ,   her   milkshake   mostly   forgotten ,   she   leans   further   across   the   table .       ❛     i   always   knew   your   fanboying   over   the   store   would   get   noticed   eventually .     i’m   just   surprised   it   took   this   long   for   another   music   geek   to   hit   on   you .     ❜       she   means   that ,   really ,   in   the   most   affectionate   way   possible .      ❛     dude ,   no   way .    ❜       she   shakes   her   head ,   surprisingly   fervent .       ❛     don’t   get   me   wrong ,   i   absolutely   demand   to   meet   her .     but   if   you   want   her   to   know   you’re   interested ,   you   need   alone   time .    ❜

“ i won’t lie, i’ve considered it, but my rule first as a doctor is to do no harm. i’d never risk my patient’s safety on the chance that it might work - not unless it was their only chance.” teddy offered, admitting something he hadn’t really been able to talk about. during the years that he had been in medical school, and during the time of his residency, he’d had plenty of time to ponder those questions and more, and it’d been a lie to say that he hadn’t been tempted to test them out. he’d read grimoire’s, taken notes, looked into different possibilities, but the time was never quite right, not when he had the nerve at least.  “i believe that it has to be possible. if werewolves can exist, and vampires, if their biology can change so much, there has to be a way to fix our own.”

            DELIGHT   IN   HIS   EYES ,   AS   clear   as   day .     how   rare   is   it ,   even   in   the   rag - tag   little   coven   he’s   found   in   forks ,   to   find   someone   who   gets   it .     to   see   that   same   curiosity   reflected   back   at   him .     how   many   centuries   have   they   stuck   to   the   same   old   spells ?     it’s   long   past   time   to   innovate .       ❛     very   noble   of   you .     ❜       he   doesn’t   understand   it ,   not   entirely   ---   how   will   they   get   anywhere   without   risks ?   ---   but   it’s   a   stance   he   can   respect .       ❛     i   have   always   wondered   what   the   limits   are .     we   know   there   are   witches   who’re   immortal .     is   that   something   we   could   unlock ?     ❜

            (   maxence   danet - fauvel ,   he  /  him   )   —   did   you   see  milo   samuels   walking   through   the   streets   of   forks ?   the   twenty   three   /   forty   seven   year   old   hyrbid   has   been   in   town   for   his   six   weeks .   people   in   town   seem   to   say   that   they’re   expressive   and   clever ,   but   i’ve   definitely   seen   them   acting   pretty   melancholy   and   self - deprecating ,   too .   hopefully   they   don’t   cause   too   much   trouble   in   town .
