Green witch / every damn witch tip
Get a protective plant, get a plant that has thorns or spikes, get a plant that represents protection in general (like rosemary, African Violets, Lavender, Basil etc.) and on the first of every month, hold a ritual where you water it, give it offerings of fruits, cakes, wine or blessed water - so that it can protect your home for the coming month. If it dies, or a leaf or section of it dies, that means it prevented something from coming in. You know what you do? You thank the plant, pinch that part off and go and burn it outside of your house (that plant spent its life keeping some bad stuff out your house and now you're going to bring it in) or bury it somewhere off your property. Give thanks again by blessed water. Say a charm while watering it in the beginning of every month, and then every other day just water it normally wit thanks. There you go, green witchcraft sorted.
Spirit Guides and What They Are
Upon first venturing into my role as a witch, there was a huge, huge emphasis in the community to connect to a spirit guide. They were meant to watch you and aid you as you continued your journey into the craft.
(The above gif depicts a black cat sitting infront of a dollhouse. In the background is an open window with wind blowing through white curtains)
So what is a spirit guide? There is no general consensus as to what their “species” is. Some have called them guardian angels, a spirit that was once a living person or being, and even a being who is neither human nor animal.
They could be an individual from your past life who knew your soul, or a spirit you didn’t even know.
The main idea though is that your guide is here to help you advance in your craft, and walk beside you as you continue this journey. They are your teacher and your friend.
What do they do? As stated above, they walk with us in our path.
According to the common belief, we all have spirit guides assigned to us. Some of us have one, or two, or even multiple. They are especially helpful for protection when you are interacting with other spirits of delving into spirit work. Consider them your liaison to the spiritual plane.
They are also your teachers. By interacting with them and including them in our practice, things that we hadn’t been aware of may be revealed to us as they see fit. They may present things to you in your life in a calculated way to ensure that you are practicing things in a safe way.
How do you contact them? Because a spirit guide is a spirit, you can use all regular means of contacting spirits to speak to them. Just ensure that when you do, you use the proper protection.
That said, there are preferred ways (imo) that you should interact with them.
Meditation: Meditation will always be the safest way to interact with a spirit, and with a spirit guide, you can do it on your own terms with your own tools. That said, sitting in your bed and waiting for a spirit to talk to you for hours is not appealing. That said, you may consider doing guided meditation specifically for the purpose of reaching out to spirit guides.
Tarot: Tarot is always good for getting life advice. Therefore, use your deck in order to channel your spirit guide. Because they are your guides, and are always wanting to help you, using the imagery and meaning behind tarot can be helpful.
Other notes:
They are different than other spirits, in that your relationship with them doesn’t necesarily require an offering. The belief is that they are spirits assigned to you from the universe, the source, God, or what have you, and their goal is to take the information they learned in their life and help you in your life.
They can be animals, but they are NOT spirit animals. Spirit animals are beings that belong to certain indigenous tribes. Spirit guides are spiritual beings of any species, shape, and form that are here to guide you as you practice your craft.
Call on them. They are here to help you and guide you, and often times we don’t even know of their existence. Your spirit guide can and will help you, you just need to reach out.

Moon Rabbit Grimoire: Moon Cookies!
It’s recipe time!!
So, today is a full moon and I decided to celebrate! So, I found moon cookies recipes, adapted them to my needs and just baked them: they are delicious!
Ingredients
1 and ¼ cup of flour;
¼ cup of confectioner’s sugar (I’m pretty sure it works with regular sugar too);
¼ cup of butter (I used 2 to 3 additional teaspoons to get a good batter, see what works for you);
1 egg yolk (keep the rest of the egg on a small container on the fridge, you never know when you’ll need it);
OPTIONAL: 1 cup of grated almonds/walnuts;
How to do it?
Mix the flour + sugar + butter + egg yolk;
The batter should be smooth and consistent. You should be able to roll it in a ball;
On a container, put the batter, cover it up with something and keep it in the fridge until chilled. I sipped some tea and waited around 20min, I think;
Take it off the fridge and shape it in little moons. I opened half on my sink surface and cutted with a round glass, but by the end I just took pieces of the batter and shaped in little full moons, as you can see in the picture;
Cover baking tray with butter (take a few napkins, drizzle butter on it and spread on the baking tray) and place the cookies on it;
160°C, 20min and BAM! MOON COOKIES!
(You can tell they’re ready when the edges start to turn brownish and they “fluffed up” a little);
Shake sugar on top! I used vanilla flavoured sugar ;)
Witchy Adds
I added a few witchy things to set my intentions. On the ones in the picture I used:
Rosemary (focus, banishing, protection, love, healing, clear thinking, prosperity… It’s wonderful for everything)
Cinnamon powder (prosperity, love, lust)
Nutmeg (prosperity)
Clove powder (prosperity, love)
Grated ginger (power, lust)
Honey (love)
Vanilla extract (love)
Witchy tip!
Take a look at herbs/ingredients correspondence and get creative! There are so many things and combinations that can go well with these cookies, so just have fun!
Another reminder!
Pour good intentions, love and good vibes while cooking! I always have some music around and dance on the kitchen tiles to make it fun and enjoyable! Ask the moon to pour her energy on your festive cookies and make it your day (or night)!
Happy cooking, everyone!
simple love attraction spell 💕
a spell for attracting general love and romantic opportunities to oneself
💕 gather: a pink candle, rose petals and pepper
💕 dress the candle wick with the pepper
💕 carve a heart shape onto the candle.
💕 decorate the candle with the rose petals, offering them to aphrodite.
💕 light the candle, feel it’s warmth but be careful not to burn yourself.
💕 whisper softly the incantation:
“As I watch the flame dance I draw to me hopes of romance. As it warms my face, I’ll warm others hearts, Who graze the feathers of cupid’s dart.”
💕 blow out the candle, thank aphrodite for her influence.
Tips for beginner witches
Where to start? This is the most common question i receive. I understand how overwhelming the craft can be! There are so many different components, and you can rest knowing your education will NEVER be complete. You will continue to learn new things all the time, and there is no rush to the order in which you learn! Cool down, and take some time to really fall into theory before jumping into practice. Its very important to read as much as you can, from as many sources as possible. Here are some of the many things you can research:
Crystals & their uses
Color correspondences
Different kinds of Magic
Different kinds of witches
Tools
Moon Phases
Planets/Celestial Bodies
Witch History
Herbs & their uses
Plants that are naturally abundant in your area that you can use in magick
Energy
Meditation and Visualisation
Astral Projection
Deities
Tarot cards and other forms of divination
Symbols (runes, sigils)
Theban alphabet
Incense and Oils
Animals and what they represent
Sabbats
Cleansing, charging and consecration of tools
making mundane things magical
There are so many more things, so feel free to add in anything I missed or that you personally find important.
Witchlings, please ask me any questions you may have as i am happy to answer to the best of my knowledge. I will be putting up more educational posts over the next few weeks, so please ask or message me if theres anything specific you’d like me to cover. I’ll more than likely have a post for each of the bullet points above.
Blessed be!
Spirit Guide Spread
I developed this spread first for my own use, in an effort to let me communicate with my spirit guide when I was not able to find the peace I needed for proper meditation, and could not reach them through dream. This deck can be used to communicate with your spirit guide (or animal familiar), or to try and meet them for the first time.
1. The Head. This card represents your Spirit Guide. If you have not met them, it can hold insight into what form they might appear to you.
2. The Hand. What they hold highly. This card represents qualities or attributes your spirit guide consider of great importance at this time.
3. The Fist. What they disregard. This card represents an issue you may be paying too much mind to, or something your spirit guide wants you to ignore.
4. The Heart. What is inside you. A hidden strength your spirit guide applauds, and wants you to focus on fostering at this time. If reversed this can indicate a festering issue your spirit guide is concerned may be harming you.
5. The Heels. A last word. This card represents any last pressing messages or warnings your spirit guide may have for you.
I hope this spread assists those of you who, like me, struggle in forming spirit connections in a busy, mundane, world. If you try this spread and like it, please consider liking this post, as a vote for the #Craftaspread challenge.

Poem for Spells
Cleansing spells will erase energies you wish to negate
To make a tool sacred and guide what’s innate, you will have to Consecrate
A Summoning brings what’s needed in, or an effect soon to begin
A Banishing will send away what you do not wish to stay
Glamour spells fool more than one’s eyes, to hide a trick or don disguise
A Jar spell affects where it’s set but a Spell Sachet is the traveller’s best bet
A Bath spell steeps magic into you and powers whatever you would do
A Kitchen spells mainly food, or dessert or drink if that’s the witches’ mood.
Grounding is the witches’ tool to remain rooted and keep their cool
Warding is a barrier spell to deflect and protect what’s in its shell
Ceremony and Ritual are many-stepped spells for multiples, but if perhaps you are alone, you can keep custom on your own.
To annoy or to vex, cast a jinx or hex, but for what you will not reverse you might cast a curse.
Spells are work, and spells are fun, but pick what you need for the work to be done.
I see a lot of people sad on my dash, and it’s okay for me to be sad, but I don’t like seeing others sad so here is a baby deer sleeping in a patch of spinach.

Simple Protection Amulet
This is an enchantment spell I wrote a while ago for that lil extra protection boost. I’ve done this spell three times, for three different people (including myself), and it’s worked every time. This spell is especially good for baby witches and closet witches. Keep in mind that this isn’t a super strong spell, it’s kind of like the first piece of armour you buy in a video game. Although it’s not particularly powerful, it’s definitely one of my favourite charms - I like to take it with me when I go travelling, or when I stay the night at someone’s house, so that if I start sensing negative energies I can wear it and have some instant protection magic happening! (note: i have included extra steps for wiccans - just ignore them if you’re not wiccan; although obviously, wiccans are fully-welcome to use the non-wiccan method if they wish to do so)
⛥ gather: black pepper (protection, inner strength, warding), whole cloves (protection, curse-breaking), salt (protection), any protective crystal (e.g. snowflake obsidian, fire agate, black tourmaline, etc; this item is optional), a small bowl, a necklace* to enchant
⛥ cast a circle, if you wish to (totally optional)
⛥ if you’re wiccan, call upon the god and goddess, and give them an offering (e.g. seeds, bread, fresh juice) and ask for them to assist you with this spell
⛥ mix the pepper, cloves and salt together in a bowl - the person who will be wearing the amulet should stir using their finger (on their dominant hand) to mix in their energies
⛥ next, the person who will be wearing the amulet should bury the necklace in the mixture
⛥ wave your hand over the bowl once, anti-clockwise, and say: wiccan version i ask the God and the Goddess, the all-father and all-mother, to bless this necklace, so that the wearer, (say name), may be protected from ill & injury. witch version by cleansing salt and earth-grown herb, beware, destructive beings of woe! you are kept from (wearer’s name), by this object’s midnight glow ⛥ wave your hand over the bowl once, clockwise, to seal the spell
⛥ (wiccans, thank the god & goddess and dismiss them)
⛥ you can now remove the amulet from the bowl, and dispose of the herbs/salt inside (keeping the crystal, obviously)
*it should be noted that any other piece of jewelry can be used: a ring, a bracelet, earrings, a brooch, etc.
