I have the perfect answer for this. Almost. Didn't know what to do for the ninetales slot. BUT I made this a while ago and have been dying to share it.

Every Pokemon does have an explanation, trust.

Ditto & Mimikyu are self explanatory, as is Zoroark for the whole illusion themeing.

Snorlax bc they're both foodies and I imagine them finding each other as kids, a munchlax and baby imposter.

Garbodor is meant to be themed around their 'born with nothing' backstory. A child with no home or family and the literal trash they would have had to sleep in.

Ninetales is also meant to be themed with the whole illusion thing bc kitsune, but I think I might change it to a froslass instead as it would hint to them being a remnant of despair.
