Inclusive language is for everyone!!
Their boyfriend is their partner why is this hard to understand
Also, âpartnerâ is just a good word? It implies an equal relationship where both of your work together in pursuit of something, whether that be life goals or just having fun together.
Itâs a good word. People should use it more.
they should invent a way for me to do tasks without the mind torture
there is a world out there I canât comprehend
behold, context
grace barely ever swearing even in his own internal monologue means that for all we know rocky said fuck constantly and he just didn't tell us about it
Rocky is a tatted-up engineer alone on a mission with a lab scientist/teacher. I'd bet every other word was profanity.
the aroace read of ryland grace is so personal and haunting. "you don't even have a dog." was it not enough to love the world for the sake of living in it. was it not enough to live for the thrill of discovery. was it not enough to smile at your students. was it not enough to be afraid.
MAY YOU NEVER LOSE YOUR HYPERFIXATION

Counter point, those machines can make me a peach sprite.
guys did you know the tech in that nefangled machine revolutionized preemie healthcare
yeah the guy who invented them made incredibly precise infusion pumps (as opposed to gravity fed ivs) which not only meant they could give medications to teeny tiny babies safely, it's also used for insulin pumps and portable dialysis machines. the key element is that it's a peristaltic pump so the liquid stays in sterile tubing for safety
(unholy drink cloaca uses it to dispense precise amounts of flavored sugar syrup)
Then how the haters loved him,
As they shouted out with glee,
"Unholy Drink Cloaca
You'll go down in history!"
You DON'T get this on any other site in quite this format.
Not superstitious and not not superstitious but a third secret thing (read a lot of fairytales as a child and doesn't believe them but also would never be rude to a mountain while still on it just in case)
I've said it before but this is both the Icelandic and the Irish approach:
Of course we're modern educated people who don't believe in fairies
But we're also not gonna fuck with 'em, we're not idiots
Seriously, who started gatekeeping writing and reading fanfiction based on age?
No one in my real life knows I read fics on AO3, and honestly, thatâs because I donât have the energy to explain why itâs perfectly fine to enjoy them in my 30s.(I ironically myself started reading fics when I turned 30) Thereâs still this assumption that fanfiction is only for teenagers or maybe people in their twenties, and somehow being 30+ and finding comfort in your favorite characters or the theme of a story becomes something to be judged or mocked.
But hereâs the thing: most of the best fics out there are written by older adults, people in their 30s and beyond. You can feel it in the work: the thematic depth, the complexity of the plot, the command of language. That kind of emotional nuance, layered storytelling and thoughtful exploration of psychology and philosophy, that delicious smut, that deeply introspective character study, hurt/comfort, angst and fluff..etc all of which definitely come from lived experiences (or atleast closely witnessed experiences), shaped by going through life. Decades of it.
In fact, that makes me think about whoâs behind those stories: a housewife or househusband juggling a chaotic household, a tired teacher switching between lesson plans and fic drafts.., just people carving out little moments of creativity in the middle of real life and sharing it with others. Thereâs something incredibly special about that.
Btw, please know that I am not attacking younger writers or downplaying their writing skills. Of course, surely there are absolutely talented younger/teenager writers too who create amazing, meaningful work that resonates with different generations. And hey even if some aren't as good (yet), everybody starts somewhere and thats completely fine, it goes like this: suck at first and get better with TIME, as you age up and experience life, it shows in one's writing too.
I am sure I read some fics written by people a decade younger than me and loved their work so much.
Anyways, I thought this would be a known fact, but IÂ guess there is no harm in gentle reminders: age doesnât define passion, creativity, or joy. It SHOULDNâT LIMIT what we read, what we write, what we draw or what brings us comfort. Also, letâs not forget, many canon authors themselves are well into their 40s and beyond. That alone should say enough.
So Hi (: Let's let people enjoy their hobbies. Let them have their own spaces. Itâs really that simple. đ
noticed my coworker was on tumblr so i told them âi like your shoelacesâ and they said ânever say that out loud to meâ
this is the correct response btw
chronic pain is kind of like your body screaming âIâm in painâ and youâre like âokay whatâs wrongâ and your bodyâs like âoh that part is actually a secretâ
