I think that the Hamilton musical is objectively the funniest thing that could happen to that man's memory. i work in healthcare, in a field with a lot of older patients, in a red state. i also wear a kippah, which means i get quite a few sweet older folks holding my hands and telling me how as christians they have a special love in their heart for the jews. i smile and nod at them, because i understand their good intentions, but the historical irony amuses me quite a bit. because until very recently in history, christians did not in face have a special love in their heart for jews, unless you define “special love” as “murderous intent” lmao
