yeah so the L button stopped working back in like probably 2015 so i opened it up recently to see if i could pop something back into place and there was just this weird squishy crud inside that smelled like dried blood (don't ask)

this led to probably the most unhinged picture i've ever taken because it was 4am and i was trying to do this on my bed for some reason (don't do that. obviously)

obviously i gave them a good cleaning with isopropyl but i think i nudged something wrong because now they just. randomly shut off sometimes.

it already had issues for years like the screen randomly turning pink. but at least they don't poop. i think. but they do bleed apparently.

HI... I've made another extremely self indulgent picrew

I made the majority of this in one night and polished it for another two days, this thing was built purely in a cat genetics autism fueled need to see if it was possible to make

it's not a perfect visual representation of all possible cat colours, there's only so much I can do within picrew's simple image layering, but I've done my best to make most colours look close to real life or at least nice looking

there's instructions included if you want to use it the way I built it to be used, but they're completely optional and you're welcome to just mess around with it with no rules if you prefer!

Another tip for swerving doctors’ defensiveness: be very complimentary of other doctors.

Sometimes people who have been to a lot of specialists get (understandably) jaded towards medicine. Your natural reaction may be to complain to the next doctor about the last ones. This is a mistake. Sure, some of them might have the mindset of “well *I* am smarter than *them* so I’ll be the one to figure it out.” More likely? They will consciously or subconsciously label you as a “difficult patient” or drug seeker and raise their defenses against anything you say since they think you’ll hate them regardless of what they do.

Instead, try this:

“Well, I was referred here by Dr. ___. They’ve been my doctor for ___ and they’re always so helpful and thorough. They told me since they ruled out ___ it was time to go to a ___ specialist.

This accomplishes three things: one, you’re less likely to be labeled as difficult if they think you get along well with other doctors. Two, if the third party is another doctor instead of a family member or friend, they’re going to be even more likely to take you seriously because now another doctor is going to be judging their work. Three, doctors are human and want others’ approval like anyone else, and you’ve just defined a good doctor as helpful and thorough so they’ll want to *be* helpful and thorough.

Take it from a doctor who got diagnosed with a “zebra” autoimmune disease as a kid after a lot of time and suffering and second-third-fourth-fifth opinions. I’ve seen both sides.
