normal: being jumpy late at night, or when you’ve just been watching something scary
not normal: feeling like something or someone is after you (which can be triggered by a horror movie, but exists independently of the movie)
normal: not trusting strangers, especially if you live in a big city
not normal: being convinced that strangers, friends, or family are going to hurt you, or that people are ganging up on you
normal: only confiding in your closest friends or relatives, and having things you wouldn’t tell most people
not normal: thinking that confiding in anyone will give them ammunition to use against you, and that it’s not safe to share your thoughts and feelings with others
normal: acting more cautious after hearing a police siren or seeing a police officer
not normal: hearing police sirens (or hallucinating sirens) and thinking that they’re going to come after you, and feeling a need to hide and protect yourself
normal: finding it hard to go to sleep after seeing a horror movie out of fear of having nightmares
not normal: not wanting to go to sleep, leave your house, or eat food someone else prepared for you (for example), because you feel that people have a conspiracy against you
