one of my haru hcs is that he has that same thing a lot of kids raised (mostly) by their grandparents have where he has a lot of interests in common with like a retired 77 year old grandma. like feeding the local wildlife, or cooking the most unbelievably good food alone and in complete silence, or watching game shows, or falling unconscious when they dont get enough attention
and if haru wasnt convinced rin genuinely wanted to be with him when they first started dating, rin earnestly enjoying some 1990s japanese game show about word puzzles at 7 am out of an analog TV in the living room of the nanase family home built in 1952 just to be with him probably did
and its made funnier by the fact that they just look so fucking out of place spending the morning doing the same shit the 80 year old couple down the street is also doing but rin and haru are gay jacked 20-somethings and rin is wearing some fuckass designer graphic band tee for like arctic monkeys or some shit
