Having ARFID means that affected people experience anxiety when trying new foods. So, we have put our minds together and figured out that in order to work around this disorder, we will constantly pressure them, loudly complain about how annoying their picky eating is, not consider what food they already like, watch them extremely closely the entire time they try the new food, and then when they don't like the food, we will immediately tell them how its all their fault and how they ought to just not let themselves be so anxious and that they can like the food if they just tell their brain that they like it. This is precisely how to handle ARFID.

One of the most annoying genres of people on the internet are people who act like they believe science is one single monolithic thing. Like, you'll see an article saying something like "scientists studying the movement of tectonic plates", and then in the comments there'll be several smug people saying "smh why are scientists doing this instead of finding a cure for cancer", like. Why would a geologist be doing that.
