I'm kinda new to the whole Otherkin thing, so please be patient with me! I'm mostly making this blog to explore the community and figure things out. I had dreams about being... well, me, since I was little, but only recently started questioning if they were just dreams or an indication of something more. Mostly similar to the Raimiverse Peter, at least in personality, though I don't have a lot of memories to go off of. Possibly the version that was created by the events of No Way Home? I'm also autistic with a special interest in entomology, specifically arachnids! Tbh I probably only got bit b/c I picked the spider up to admire it lmao

Oughhh I have Thoughts about this one. Firstly, how tf is Harry's behavior responsible for Norman's? Who do you think raised Harry after his mother died (or vanished, depending on the storyline)? Where do you think his behavior stems from? The fucking moon??? Norman is the adult in this situation, he taught Harry those behaviors, and he is the one that decided to deal with his problems by hospitalizing an old lady and then kidnapping a whole grown ass woman. Not Harry. Ffs...

Got a new follower with a DNI in their bio so just gonna state this clearly in case it bothers anyone: I am pro-endo since I personally don't think I have the right to dictate whether or not anyone else's experiences are valid. Human brains are weird and messy and extremely different from person to person! Who am I to say something's impossible just because I haven't personally experienced it?

Spidey’s Binder Safety Tips and Advice for big chested people
When I was researching how to safely wear a binder, I noticed how much I had to dig for what I needed to look out for as someone with a big chest. The official sites wouldn’t have enough information, on social media it was rare to see it come up. So I’ve put all the information I’ve learned and researched into this one collective guide.

As a queer trans guy, I'm gonna be honest, they're pretty comparable experiences for me. Like, YMMV, but I've found a lot of camaraderie in the queer spaces I frequent over my nonhuman identity, especially back in the 2010's in college when I was more involved helping host/plan events. We're all collectively stronger together-- and I think that's really relevant in some locales specifically, given things like the US legislature put forward that mentions transgender folks and transspecies folks in the same documentation or in the same political debates. We don't gain anything by shoving each other away or down when we're all collectively affected.
I also think it's really not great to try and dictate how transgender folks get to talk about their own lived experiences and identities, and the intersections between that. I can get your reason for being frustrated--I saw your tags about feeling that it 'waters down' the oppression faced by folks for their gender identity and sexuality--but I think you're misdirecting your anger towards the wrong people. The people talking about these intersections and similarities in identity make up a majority of the community; surveys imply a huge percent of the alterhuman community online is queer (my last alterhuman survey, with 500+ participants, had 7% who identified as cis and less than 5% who identified as straight). They also experience the oppression you reference in your tags. They're not separate from it. The people who are actively seeking any excuse to delegitimize trans and queer identities, experiences, and lives are your enemy; not trans and queer alterhumans.
Page basically said everything I would’ve. I just want to say as a trans person I compare being trans to being fictionkin to illustrate how innate it is to me. Are they the same thing? No. I don’t think anyone is claiming that. OP just because you’re queer yourself doesn’t give you automatic authority of what the “right” opinion is, or the “correct” way for someone else to talk about their queerness.
Another thing is that since you (op) don’t believe alterhumasia is real, and that alterhumans just face saneism, that is a legitimate form of oppression. The claim that comparing alterhumanity to being queer dilutes the experience of oppressed people is contradictory.
