Au/Headcannon that once leaders receive their nine lives, they begin aging at a much slower rate.
Au where Rusty/Firepaw is the reincarnation of Mosskit. His coat has red tabby patches that match up perfectly to Mosskit's gray patches, and his eyes are green with blue heterochromia spots.
This is the reason Starclan reaches out to him through his dreams, as they knew Mosskit had been dealt a poor hand and wanted to make up for it in some way. As Rusty came to live with his twoleg near the clans, it was destiny for his warrior spirit to return to its home and live the life it never got to the first time.
Bluestar sees the resemblance in Rusty and instantly wants to teach him and protect him as if he were her own kit. She may not realize he's Mosskit's reincarnation, but the similarities are enough to convince her to attempt his integration into clan life.
Au where Yuzu becomes the captain of the 4th division, and it isn't immediately obvious. So new recruits show up, and are confused to be greeted by the sweetest and most doting shinigami first and foremost. Only to find out later that that had been Yuzu Kurosaki, the feared and respected 4th Captain.
Au where Byakuya had been sent away on a mission before the Rukia trial, as him being around could prove troublesome if he objected and retaliated. Having him participate would be a conflict of interest, as well. He comes back from the mission midway through Ichigo tearing up Soul Society in order to save Rukia from execution.
"Are you Ichigo Kurosaki? The one who has been wreaking havoc across Soul Society to save Rukia Kuchiki from her execution?"
"Yeah? I am. And I won't let you or anyone else stop me. So get out of my way."
"Stay your sword. I simply had to confirm my intel. I wish to accompany you in rescuing my sister. The treatment of Rukia thus far has been drastic and unjust. I will not stand by and let it come to pass."
Au where Jake goes to live with Talltail in Windclan. In my brand of AU, Jake takes Tiny with him, as Quincy speaks to him before he goes. She noticed Tiny wasn't getting along with his siblings, nor did he like the idea of being adopted. So he may live better in the clans with his father. Jake accepts, and raises him with Tallstar.
Au where the situation with Sakumo is handled better. He is not treated terribly for saving his teammates over completing the mission. Perhaps his actions are publicly pardoned by the Hokage, making it frowned upon to treat him negatively. This way, he stays alive and is there for Kakashi through his troubles.
Au where Hiruzen actually tries to make Naruto's childhood NOT shitty. Like, idk, how about make sure villagers aren't abusing him? Maybe have him live with someone so he's not by himself at age 6? Perhaps even give him enough money so that he can afford more than ramen?
Just a thought.
Au where Wednesday is the werewolf, and Enid is the psychic/seer.
Au where everything is the same, but Judy has scars from when Gideon scratched her as a kid.
Au where Lumine and Aether have cat-like eyes, showing at least in one physical aspect that they are not native to that world. They're slitted during fights, normal during regular gameplay, and completely round when talking about things they like.
Au where Catra comes to terms with what she's feeling and why a lot sooner than in canon, leaving her to have to deal with The Horde (and potentially Horde Prime) while wanting to be anywhere but. Perhaps she finds out how to escape on her own, or she stays around to sabotage what she can.
AU where Mermista doesn't interrupt the argument between Glimmer and Adora, leaving Glimmer to have to face down the consequences of her words and behavior much sooner.
Very small piece of warriors rewrite au: Goosefeather was the one who rescued Stormkit from the river
Also, when Crookedjaw became leader, in his leader ceremony Hailstar apologizes for allowing Crookedjaw's mother to change his name, naming him Stormstar.
Au where Jinx learns about Vi being imprisoned earlier than is canon (before she gets released), and in turn busts her out.
Swap AU where it's Edward who loses his whole body and is bound to armor, not Alphonse. As Al is more level-headed than Ed, this could result in some interesting dynamics and conflicts.
Bonus if Alphonse receives a different title than Edward would have.
Au where Jayfeather is the one to kill Ashfur.
Au where the Player Character was taken from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon world instead of the future. Essentially a reverse of the PMD games, where in this instance you're a pokemon that becomes a human. How would this affect your interactions, and the overall story?
