I’m not here a lot nowadays but this is the second time in less than a month that I see it happen so I’ll just be blunt: learn fandom etiquette or even basic decency and do not harass an author if you dislike how they portrayed your favorite character. Even more so if you saw what the fic was about/know that your fav isn’t a main character or isn’t in the main ship, and the chance of them being portrayed in a less sympathetic light is higher.

You guys need to learn to regulate your emotions before vomiting your contempt onto the author of a fic you’re not the target audience of. Artists and authors nowadays are overall treated like crap and their art disrespected and it’s very disappointing to see, even more since the same thing happened in two different fics of two different authors in less than a month by the same group of fans. Be part of the solution instead of the problem. Fix your contempt by doing your own thing. Do better.
