Hey up, I'm 🥔Spud 🥔, she/they. Come and say hi and tag me in stuff!

Big fan of fantasy, scifi and weird creatures.

Being bullied by fatigue and capitalism so sometimes I reply sooner than others, bear with me 🐻🐻🐻

My current WIPS:

Old Inn Door - A story about a highway robber and their girlfriend set in Yorkshire/the Peaks. (In progress - nothing posted)

Dragonsbreath & Skelefellas - About a Necromancer and Dragon Rider who fall in love. The necromancer has lots of weird boney friends they make.

The Familiarity Between the Owl and the Pussycat - Some slice of life stuff about two witches and their familiars (I probably won't update any time soon).

A Worker's Guide to Demonology - A demon is trapped in a human body and has to face the horrors of work. (In progress - nothing posted)

A Short Way to an Angry AI - Humans and AIs spend all their spare time winding each other up in outer space. Slice of life sci-fi.

Untitled Werewolf WIP - It was meant to be a heavy handed metaphor for chronic illness, but has also become a heavy handed metaphor for period nonsense. Barely started.

oh to be a big dragon and be the reason women who go into the woods at night go missing

hey. if you’re a sorority leader you should absolutely haze your pledges by making them go sleep in the woods for a night. the woods is safe and does not have any large horny carnivores in it. you totally won’t have to go on the news in 3 days and say through very real tears that you had no idea any of this would happen because you were the last person who saw them alive and you kind of blame yourself for this

Having thoughts about immortality and chronic illness

Like...the things I'm able to do on low energy are so boring to me already, what if I had centuries more of that ahead

Would it be easier to maintain relationships, like if its already normalised that you might not see some your friends for 20 years at a time anyway

Not having a diagnosis/treatment after 1000 years

Increasing tolerance to meds and pain killers

Would you find better coping mechanisms? Would you have a healthier mental/emotional response to your illness or would it weigh more and more heavily
