One of the topics regularly discussed in my classes is that of liability. You are responsible for every single round that leaves your barrel. If you shoot at a threat and miss the intended target, that Bullet does not just magically stop moving. It WILL continue to travel, potentially hitting someone or something completely unrelated to the incident (example: having to defend yourself in a Kroger parking lot). Uber and Lyft drivers!! How familiar are you with your company policies on driver safety? Have you thought about what you would do if your life (or the life of your passenger) was put at risk? What does the company suggest you do? What would YOU do? (Side note: Buddy is EXTREMELY lucky. Driver had every single legal justification to turn his head into a canoe. Sad part is, now the risk potentially increases if the young man attempting the car jacking feels like he should have been better prepared or went in shooting to prevent getting hurt. This is why it’s important to seek out competent instruction. This is a great example of how NOT to clear a malfunction. Will it work. I guess…according to what you see here. Is it the best solution to solve this problem? Absolutely not. It’s inefficient and has a high probability of furthering the problem. Though there is nothing wrong with learning from a relative or friend, there is a chance that they could be providing you with faulty information which could place you at risk when you are trying to learn a skill that could potentially be needed to save your life or the life of a family member. Seek out competent instructors and learn the right way the first time. It’s much harder to unlearn the bad habits. Classes available. “A detective told CBS46 three men were standing outside of the gas station. Moments later, a man in his late 50’s approached the group and fired one shot, killing one of the men in the group. The two other men in the group returned fire, striking and killing the man in his 50’s. Two additional male bystanders were also struck during the gunfire. A few snapshots from this weekend’s Low Light Pistol class with @provectusgroup and @provectus_garrison The is was a great class covering concepts utilizing both handheld lights and weapon mounted lights. I hadn’t taken a low light course in a while so this class was quite refreshing as it gave me the opportunity to practice some ok’d tactics I knew and try out some new ones I learned. Most people have WML on either their EDC or home defense set up but often times don’t get the opportunity to run those systems under realistic training conditions.
