(Sabito edition)

1. Reincarnation au where most of the hashira are reborn with their memories intact and search for each other and reconnect.

They find everyone except Giyuu. Sanemi and Shinobu both deeply regret never confessing to him in their past lives and are constantly bickering with each other over who deserves him more and agree they can't wait to see the stoic awkward man again.

Except, when they find him he isnt the same.

He doesn't recognize his old hiori in the museum, or them for that matter. His once cold eyes are filled with warmth. Upon looking him up online, they find out he has a boyfriend named Sabito, and his profile pic is of him sitting on his boyfriend's bicep as he flexes at a gay pride parade. Both of them were beaming with little Bisexual flags painted on their cheeks as the rainbow flag sabito was wearing as a cape flapped in the wind behind them.

Tengen swears he could hear the exact moment both of their hearts broke.

This does not stop them from trying to get close to Giyuu, even though it really should. They keep trying to jog him memory about the demon slayer corps, but the boyfriend's think this is just one seriously dedicated LARP group. Sanemi lost it a little when they ask if they could play on the demons team cause they wanted to know what superpowers they would get.

2. Time travel fix it au where Giyuu goes back in time but dies saving Sabito in final selection.

Little does Sabito know that Giyuu if following him around as a helpful little ghost.

If Sabito loses something, it suddenly winds up on one specific table in plain sight, if he forgets something at home he finds it in his pocket, if he's fighting someone stronger than him they'll suddenly trip, and his sword is never dull despite never sharpening it.

He only figures out what's happening when he was crying over Giyuus death one night and heard him whisper an apology in his ear.

Unfortunately for Giyuu, the only people who can consistently 'see' and hear him are Kanzaburo and Gyomei.

3. Time travel fix it au where all the hashira were sent back in time into thier younger bodies. Using their knowledge of the future, they are able to avoid or escape their tragic backstories and find the demon slayer core earlier.

Everyone is shocked when a peach haired kid becomes the Water Hashira instead of Giyuu, and the new kid gets really aggressive when someone tries to ask about his friend.

(Can be fused with 2)

4. Post canon time travel fix it where Tengen, Sanemi and Giyuu all get sent back to thier past selves and begin fixing things to the best of theyre abilities.

The twist? Giyuu has secretly been a girl in disguise the entire time, binding her chest, wearing make up and gargling a liquid that deepened her voice and made it rougher all to avoid weirdos in the demon slayer corps. But after both he and Sabito survive final selection, she makes Sabito promise to protect her and she feels safe enough to show her true self-which was great cause the gender dysphoria hit harder than she thought it could in her past life as the water hashira and she has no desire to repeat that.

Unfortunately, all three of them fully believed they were the only one to be sent back so Tengen and Sanemi freak out at seeing 'Giyuu' as a girl and are wracking thier brains trying to figure out what they could have possibly done to the timeline to change the former water hashiras gender.

5. Ace omegaverse au (we don't have enough of those) where Muichiro found Giyuus well hidden heat nest while playing with the kid from the swordsmith village. The problem is that he's decided that he needs to protect Giyuu while Sabito isn't around and keeps bothering him during his heats from then on.

Giyuu had been so careful not to let anyone know about his second gender. Yes, Shinobu and Mitsuri were both omegas, but he also noted how they were often treated differently by the rest of the hashira. They didn't get as much respect as the others in the group despite them being no less capable. Even the other hashira themselves didn't give them enough credit despite seeing Giyuu of all people as an equal. (Though that may be because Sabito might actually fight someone if they disrespected him) He may not believe he's on hashira level, but he is a functional demon slayer, and he refuses to be treated like glass and have harder missions stolen from him by a bunch of idiots.

Not to mention, heats suck enough as is. They're basically periods from hell. He's cranky, he's cramping, half of his lower body is covered in slime, the rest of his body is drenched in sweat, he's cramping, he's nauseous, he's weirdly horny, he's cramping, and now he has a twelve year old playing nurse by trying to shove a water bottle in his face every 2 seconds. Did he mention the cramping?

Because of things like this, he had Kanae develop a seamless patch to block his scent glads so no one would know, and no one would bother him.

Now he's sitting across from the one person in the demon slayer corps he knows he can come to for advice on children and won't go around telling everyone with a pulse.

Shinjuro Rengoku.

S: You can't intruder on an omegas heat nest.

M: but he looks so miserable and pathetic. I have to help him.

S:...be that as it may, its still inappropriate and is not allowed.

Oh man, I've always been a faithful subscriber to the 'Zenitsu proposes to Tanjiro on their first meeting' fic idea, because it's absolutely amazing, but you guys—

What is it was reversed

Not necessarily on their first meeting, because Tanjiro wouldn't propose to a guy who was just pathetically begging a random girl to marry him loll, but I can see it happening after they're all at the wisteria crest house, when Zenitsu asks Tanjiro why he's traveling with a demon.

Tanjiro would freeze where he's sitting, staring at Zenitsu with a look of shock and growing wonder on his face as his mind starts running in circles. Zenitsu protected the box. Zenitsu protected the box while knowing there was a demon inside of it. Zenitsu knowingly protected the demon inside the box without knowing it was his little sister. Zenitsu protected the box holding a demon without knowing the full story all because he heard Tanjiro tell the children it was more important to him than his own life.

Zenitsu meanwhile would be fidgeting under the intense stare being directed at him, wondering if he asked the wrong question and if Tanjiro was going to get angry with him, until Tanjiro suddenly swoops Zenitsu's hands into his own, and with an embarrassingly earnest expression and bright red cheeks Tanjiro shouts,

"Zenitsu, please marry me!!"

Zenitsu starts screaming, and then Inosuke throws a pillow at both of them to get them to shut up.

It's just so funny to imagine that after that, Tanjiro starts relentlessly pursuing Zenitsu, showering him in compliments and buying him sweets and gifts (in moderation of course, gotta be responsible with money), and Zenitsu running away from all this affection—not because he dislikes it, but simply because he's not used to being on this side of the equation. Usually he's the one pursuing the other person! How is he supposed to handle someone trying to win his affections?!

The first time Zenitsu doesn't run away from Tanjiro's courting gift, instead shyly accepting it with bright red cheeks and a watery thank you, Tanjiro straight-up faints from happiness.
