my friend who borrowed my handmade chainmaille pearl necklace for TWO MONTHS finally gave it back so now i can say goodbye to that friend group for the summer officially. they’re the people with that really pushy poly lady, the mean twink everyone thinks is so funny but just cheated with our friend’s boyfriend, the girl who outed my friend and called him the F slur to an entire room of people, etc!!!! I’m so sorry to the handful of nice people in the crew whom i really like but the pool of people has been tainted by too many really sour negative people that i just am not going out to their hangs anymore. Enough

plus a lot of them have gotten into coke recently and i just have 0 interest in that scene and very little tolerance for how coke heads have usually acted around me (esp if mixing it with alcohol like bro I don’t want to argue about some minor political difference for like 2 hrs at the bar) - also just less empathy because it’s only upper middle class college kids and bartenders who are into it here and I’m like… this is not quite the same as the meth and fentanyl users somehow, who feel like victims of their circumstances. like I can’t even afford recreational coke so….. 🤔… while I feel bad for anyone who gets addicted to something, this one’s just gonna be hard for me to really empathize with or be around

i just openly communicated with most of the people in my friend group and the girl i like and now everyone is silent this morning 😭

but most importantly i was able to ask my gal directly if she even knew the one poly gal who’s trying to “warn me” about her (apparently there was more tea to share and i was like 🫩)

but she knew immediately who i was talking about and what their “actual” warning was - the poly girl used to fool around with my gal’s ex, and during a messy breakup, (her ex was hooking up with other people) so she hooked up with someone as well, but it just exploded into more drama. this was also like three years ago

i was like oh thank GOD because i really don’t care about that, even if some “technical cheating” happened 😭 like unless i found out that she sexually assaulted someone in this scenario (or something equally bad?), then id be concerned, but jfc this is just regular drama that happens in the queer circles of Tucson- and the regular circles but. Yeah

i also talked to my friends about the poly gal a bit more, as well as another friend who recently did something kinda fucked up (fully cheating with someone my friend is seeing), and idk if anything is ACTUALLY going to happen, but two of my friends were finally like “…we need to talk to them” and “let’s not go to their pool party actually” 😭
