good morning everyone it's time to be tortured to insanity and then of course tortured for being insane
me as a teenager: man it sucks to have no privacy or autonomy but i guess its for a good reason. when i turn 18 i will realise how young i was and understand why they did all that.
me as an adult: teenagers are an oppressed class, their abuse is normalised and systemic and they need to start killing people
Can you tell us what is the most humiliating thing you ever had fucked with?
Probably my ex.
I feel like having wings violently burst out of your back would just feel really good. Like itd feel awful but also itd feel really satisfying.
It would be like pouring hydrogen dioxide on a wound.
FUCK. i think i have to learn blender
the humble manual smoothie maker after they break their hands:
every day i log in here and get beat up by genies
mutual on my left trying to get pregnant. mutual on my right starts high school next year. and me i have done some of the dishes
It can be easy to confuse the two, but you don't actually "wish you were more disabled", you wish your disability was taken seriously and was properly accommodated and that you had access to the support and resources you need - and that desire is so valid. You deserve more. But the sad truth is that no level of disability actually guarantees a sufficient level of support. So you have to work to separate your very understandable desire for more support from the incorrect assumption that other disabled people are consistently receiving what you aren't. All of us are getting fucked over in this society, and no group of disabled people actually has it easy.
are people under the impression that aromantic people never want to have close personal relationships with the people in their lives. "oh i wish i was aro it would save me all this drama!" actually human relationships are always deep and complicated and messy and have the potential to hurt and help and change your life and being romantic is just one possible aspect of that. aromantic people want to be close to the people around them just like anyone else. and i know the real issue is that people think romantic relationships are the only way to be truly close to someone else but it's weird and off-putting to constantly hear the implication that aros are somehow fundamentally incapable of forming relationships that would impact their lives negatively cause they don't wanna go on dates with people. not even mentioning the aros who do
tumblr is great bc its like a diary where I can take other peoples diary entries and glue them into my own diary
I saw that post you reblogged about the âyou need to go to therapyâ narrative and oh my god that âadviceâ pisses me off.
Reminds me of that one time a therapist told me that my parent couldn't change, because they didn't go to therapy. My parent used to genuinely be a bad person, but they put in a lot of personal work, they educated themself on so many topics (not only mental health related! for example, even though they used to be very conservative, they educated themself on queer topics, even before they knew I was queer), they started to think more critically and did many more things. It was over 30 years of hard work. I can't overstate how much they changed. But that's impossible, because they didn't decide to pay a stranger 50$ every week. Of course, they still have a lot of work ahead, but that's not the point. (sidenote: I don't want any advice or comments about my parent or my relationship with them)
The best case scenario with therapy is spending years on finding a good therapist and then years to get any results. Plenty of people can't even afford to play in this lottery.
And of course therapy is a magical cure for every mental illness. You go to therapy twice and you're magically cured! No more scary harmful things such as saying âweirdâ things and acting âweirdâ, because let's be real, that's what these people usually mean. So many mental illness relented terms are used to mean weird in a woke⢠way. You need therapy. Take your meds. You're so autistic. People will always find more âwokeâ ways to be saneist.
I really hate how the mainstream narrative has shifted from "therapy is a tool that can be useful for some people" to "going to therapy is a moral obligation and if you aren't in therapy you're doomed to be a bad, dangerous person"
Heat intolerance summer is gonna take me out
