sorryyyyyy im in call with the bestie and she told me about how in kh3 sora can leave the final world with like. only a third of the scattered pieces of himself. he can just leave the rest behind because his friends are more important. and all the things that could mean narratively. and then spent a bit talking about sora and his heart as an open wound that's constantly giving and giving or being fractured or taken from and how it never really has the chance to heal. at best there's stasis but it never actually closes it just keeps being chipped away at, losing piece after piece. willingly, or stolen, or gifted, or collateral, or abandoned, willingly left behind because he's lost so, so much of it, what's a little more? how much of that space is empty and hollow and slowly bleeding because it was torn open years ago and never had the chance to close? how much space for darkness to creep in? will it even have to? how much of him is left?
