Faye, 25, She/Her, Lesbian Where Canon is merely a suggestion at best. It doesn't matter if those characters have never met, they get to kiss now. Mostly focused on star wars right now. Known as Feralest-Femme on AO3 and my main tumblr.
Star Wars fandom likes to do a lot with making Obi-Wan not quite human, and I support this. However, I like to poke at gender and the nature of existence, so.
Obi-Wan's a regular human. Shmi, however, was unknowingly not human, and her 'force-given child' is actually a normal experience for her non-human side. Her non-human ancestry experiences regular parthenogenesis for reproduction,* though capable of reproducing sexually as well like that one lizard species that steals genetic material to augment its own. She was separated from her parents young enough that she just never found out, and so never told Anakin, since she looks human externally.
* I have no idea if I'm using these words correctly but meh
For the following plot to work, Anakin needs to be a trans dude who never bothered getting bottom surgery, because he just never vibed with it. I don't think he has periods, his body's just like. Genetic Material As Needed.
The Jedi, including Anakin, do not find out that he's near-human instead of actually human until he wakes up pregnant. Not sure how he finds out. Could be morning sickness, could be meditating and locating A Spark of Life Inside, could be his appetite goes to strange places and he's bullied into getting a checkup by Obi-Wan to figure out if he's deficient in a specific nutrient or something. The healers do some tests, get confused, ask him some leading questions about whether he's sexually active (not really, he's never gotten past taking off shirts when experimenting with fellow padawans, so things got horny but no actual sex), and then blood tests go Wonky when the healers are trying to figure out what happened.
It's before the war so like. It's not as bad as it could be in some ways, but.
(Anakin's excited but also panicking because he's not old enough for this and also what if he gets in trouble and the Council is just very "...you're as confused as we are about how this happened, why would we punish you for not knowing you could get spontaneously pregnant.")
@atagotiak suggested "Not important but helpful-ish for setting the scene, it happened much earlier for him than for Shimi because he had adequate nutrition and stuff?"
Which. Yes.
He could feasibly lay an egg, which I think would be hilarious, but pregnancy is something I think is just So Very Anakin.
I can't stop laughing at the idea of Anakin thinking he just ate some bad tubers the night before because he's cramping so bad and then instead he just. Lays an egg.
Presumably Shmi also, at some point, laid an egg. In that case, though, she'd have known that Anakin wasn't necessarily Inexplicable, just "well, that's something I didn't know about my family, huh."
Anyway, Shmi, why did you not warn him about egg.
(He's trans so he was aware that his body could gestate and had the appropriate delivery mechanisms.)
(He just didn't expect the mechanism to be Egg.)
Panics, runs to Obi-Wan, shouts that he laid an egg.
They go back to his room and just stare at the thing on the bed for a few minutes in baffled silence.
"We should keep it warm." and stuff it into the robes and then belatedly realized that maybe it's a good time to visit the healers and figure out if this needs an incubator or...?
#every time you post an anakin egg laying headcanon#i will bring back the idea that he would dress it up#it may be an egg but it's /his/ egg#deserves clothes (via @masteryaddleisagilf)
NO JOKE I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE WRITING IT UP. THE EGG HATS MATTER SO MUCH.
Anakin has an egg-specific baby sling so he can carry it around with him while he does things. The egg is soft-shelled and kind of leathery so he's not worried about ripping it but he is worried about crushing it, and his anxiety infects everything around him. Multiple people suggest he just leave it with the creche or healers in an incubator instead of carrying it around with him and Anakin freaks because no! That's his baby! The healers don't know if it'll develop properly without the motion of being carried and reassurance that a parent is available!
"A crechemaster could carry it though?"
"...baby, though."
(Anakin you can't bring the egg on missions, that's dangerous for the baby.)

Day 3 of aerynwrites’ December Writing Challenge: Hot Chocolate
Paring: Commander Fox X Padme Amidala
Padme is over worked and Fox is going to make sure that she takes a break and lets herself relax
Rating: Explicit
Word Count: 2.1k
Warnings: Smut, This is basically all smut and some like plot, Padme is divorced from Anakin, Fox is a simp, Oral Sex, cannon divergent, not beta read, we die like men.
Padme Amidala was a well respected senator, she worked hard and cared about the people that were less fortunate than her. With the clone wars having come to a screeching halt after Chancellor Palpatine's connection with the Sith was exposed she found herself busier than normal. She supposed that was part of the reason that she had ended up in a messy and very public divorce from her husband Anakin. His own close connection to the Chancellor was too much for her to handle and she needed both time and space to be able to come to terms with where she was at. Unfortunately Anakin never dealt with rejection well and his aggressive behavior had escalated to the point where she needed a member of the Coruscant Guard with her at all times. The entire situation infuriated her to no end, the Jedi Council was of no help, they had long proven that they were unable to control Anakin. Obi-Wan had attempted to talk to Anakin about the situation but he was also unable to get through to him.
So now she was followed around from meeting to meeting by one of the Coruscant Guard, she didn’t entirely hate the company and she was grateful that they were trying to keep her safe. But it did make her feel like a child needing their parent to make sure they could cross the street safely. Tonight she was slogging through what felt like an endless amount of paperwork after a long day in meetings trying to decide the fate of the clone troopers now that the war was over. Neither side could agree on what should be done. Should the clones be ‘decommissioned’ (cold blooded murder is what Padme called that), should they be compensated by the Republic for their time as soldiers? There was also the question of clones being considered sentient beings and what rights they should be awarded because of that status. There was also the issue of the Jedi Order having commissioned the clones creation, did that make them slave owners, finifical responsible, or having created an army of child soldiers.
There were no easy answers to any of these questions. They were getting nowhere fast and that also didn’t deal with the issue of trying to bring all the sepertasist planets back into the Republic or what they were going to do to provide aid to all of the war torn planets. All of it was one massive headache on top of her trying to get her divorce finalized despite Anakin's best attempts to convince her otherwise. Tonight she was in her office, sitting at her desk in her dressing gown, hair loose around her shoulders, the complicated dress and headpiece she had worn were hanging up in the doorway of her private refresher. If she was going to be up most of the night doing paperwork she was at least going to be as comfortable as possible.
Commander Thorn was lounging on one of her sofa’s reading from a holopad and drinking Caf. He had been with her for most of the afternoon and soon it was going to be a shift change so he could go and get some rest. He had done well to bring her as much Caf as she desired, a multitude of cups lay across her desk empty and forgotten. He wasn’t one much for conversation, he just acted as Padme’s shadow watching out for danger as she went about her daily business. Commander Fox was the one coming to relieve him, and Thorn thought that it was entertaining the amount of shifts his commander had volunteered to take with the senator. It wasn’t hard to see the way Fox wanted to constantly be around Padme, or the way he got irrationally upset any time Anakin was brought up in conversation.
The door to Padme’s office slid open, the familiar form of Commander Fox filling the doorway and Thorn stood to salute his commander. They exchanged a quiet conversation before Thorn turned to leave.
“Goodnight Senator, get some rest soon,” Thorn said softly.
Padme looked up and gave him a tired smile, “Thank you Thorn, have a good evening.” She turned her attention to Fox, “Good evening Commander, how are you tonight?”
“I’m doing fine Senator, also please, just call me Fox,” he gently reminded as he sat down on one of the sofas, setting his helmet next to him.
Padme smiled again, this time much more sincere, “I believe I have asked you to call me by my first name Fox.”
He laughed in response and looked at the collection of cups that were across her desk with a frown. He was well aware of how hard Padme worked, but he wasn’t pleased when it meant she was 10 cups of Caf deep.
“ Sen- Padme. Perhaps it is time for me to take you back to your apartment for the evening? It seems like you have been working for a long time,” Fox offered gently, knowing better than to try to force the stubborn woman to do anything.
Padme sighed, rubbing her face with her hands, “I will be sleeping here tonight Fox, once I am done with the paperwork I have.”
Fox frowned at her response but she didn’t look up at him, “I feel like your apartment wo-”
“Anakin broke in and trashed my apartment. It happened while I was in meetings today and I don’t think I am ready to have to deal with whatever mess he left.” Padme snapped looking up at Fox with a hardened expression.
Fox grit his teeth, rage coiling in his chest. He had been in Padme’s apartment a handful of times through their arrangement, it was full of art and trinkets that reminded her of Naboo. If Anakin had taken away her safe haven he truly would kill that Jedi.
Padme sighed, feeling regret for snapping at Fox, “I’m sorry. It has just been a very long day. Would you mind bringing me another cup of Caf? I think I am going to need it.”
Fox gave her a smile, approaching her desk to collect the rest of the abandoned cups to be washed. Her office had a small caf bar, full of different types of hot drinks that she enjoyed. On one particularly rough night she had made him a cup of Alderianian hot chocolate, and it was the best thing he had ever had. He felt it was time to return the favor to Padme and he carefully made the drink in one of her favorite cups before returning it to her desk. She didn’t look up as he approached, reading over a briefing sent by the Kamionians and their suggested methods for ‘decommissioning’ the GAR. Every line made her stomach roil.
She pushed the holopad away and took the warm cup in her hands and took a long sip, surprised with the sweet and creamy taste of chocolate instead of the acrid taste of caf.
“Fox I believe I had asked for caf,” she laughed, giving him a smile, he somehow always seemed to know just what she needed.
He gave her a wolfish grin, looking down at her, “Well you seemed like you needed to relax and worry less about all of your meetings tomorrow. Take a break, unwind a little.”
She quirked an eyebrow, “And how would you suggest I relax?” This type of banter was not unusual between them, he was constantly telling her to take a break and she was constantly telling him to not be so stiff and formal. Neither of them seemed to do particularly well with following the others advice.
“Well, you could come lay down and maybe sleep for the night,” Padme scoffed at the suggestion, and Fox nervously chewed on the inside of his lip before making his next suggestion, “Or… you could let me help you relax.”
She put down the cup and leaned back in her chair, the front of her robe falling dangerously open, “Tell me what would you do?” Her voice came out as a heated whisper, she wasn’t sure what had possessed her to keep pushing this subject, but there was something about the way he looked at her. She wanted to know more.
He walked around her desk and spun her chair so she was facing him, she felt a familiar warmth grow in her abdomen as she stared up at his honey brown eyes.
“At any time you want me to stop you tell me,” it wasn’t a question but an order and Padme gave a demure nod. Fox clucked his tongue gently grabbing her by the chin, “I need you to use your words Princess.”
Padme felt herself blush at the name he used, and she shifted nervously in her spot, “Yes, please Fox.”
He bent down, still holding her chin in his hand and pressed a kiss to her mouth. It wasn’t anything like Padme expected, it was sweet and chaste, like he was testing her willingness to continue. She moved her lips against his, deepening the kiss and he growled in approval as the kiss turned more desperate and hungry. Padme looped her arms around his neck as his mouth pressed needy kisses down her throat. He was careful not to leave any marks on her skin though he desperately wouldn’t the entire world, Anakin included, to know she was hiss. He discarded his gloves, tossing them to the floor as he pushed open the front of her robe. Her skin was soft, softer than he thought skin could be and she keened softly as he palmed at her bare breast.
“You are so beautiful Padme, I’ve wanted this for a long time,” he groaned as he knelt on the floor, his mouth finding her nipple.
Padme gasped rolling her hips in her chair as he took his time on each breast, paying them each special attention. Fox paid attention to every sound Padme made, find out felt best before he suddenly stood up and smirked down at her. Padme’s chest was heaving, her robe pushed completely off of her shoulders, a thin sheen of sweat across her brow.
“I don’t think you are nearly relaxed enough,” Fox tutted before picking Padme up and placing her on her desk.
He knelt before her again rubbing his calloused hands up her things and under the hem of her robe, his fingers found the waistband of her underwear and carefully pulled them off. Padme gasped at the cold wood against her bare skin as Fox looked at her underwear, it was lacy, delicate, and bright red like the color of his armor. He gave her a smirk before pushing her thighs apart and settling himself between them. He pressed wet, open mouth kisses against the inside of her thighs making his way up towards her core.
Padme’s fingers found their way into Fox’s hair, winding in the salt and pepper curls. A part of her told her that she should stop him, that this was a breach of her power as a senator. But another part of her, a heated and needy part, never wanted him to stop touching her. Fox gave her one more glance, confirming her willingness, and she gave a nod, tugging at his hair to bring him forward.
Padme was already wet, much to Fox’s pleasure as his tongue explored her folds. He had fantasized about this longer than he wanted to admit. He had eyes for Padme long before her divorce, and now that she was free from Anakin he wanted to make sure she knew what a REAL man was like. Someone that would take care of her, protect her, and make sure she felt good. Padme was openly moaning now, no longer caring if anyone heard her as Fox’s tongue found her clit. He ate her out like a man that had been starved. He carefully coaxed the moans out of her and she could feel her orgasm building. Fox pushed one of his fingers gently into her and Padme almost bucked her hips off the table as his fingers curved perfectly to that spot.
Fox smirked as he added a second finger and started to pump them in and out as his tongue lathed over her clit. She was crying out his name, fingers locked in a death grip on his hair as he chased her orgasm. When she finally was brought over the edge her vision went white and her legs spasmed out of her control.
Once her breathing evened out Fox leaned back and grinned at Padme, “See aren’t you feeling much more relaxed now?”
Day 2 of aerynwrites’ December Writing Challenge: Frozen Lake
Paring: Din Djarin X F!Reader
You had never been off of Tatooine and all you ever wanted to see was the snow.
Rating: PG
Word Count: 2.5k
Warnings: FLUFF, so much fluff, Reader uses she/her pronouns, reader not describes, no use of y/a, reader was previously a slave in Jabba’s palace, cannon divergent, not beta read, we die like men.
You had grown up on Tatooine, a hot unforgiving place where the twin suns beat down on everything below. For all intensive purposes Tatooine should be inhospitable, just a desert wasteland of sand and tall jagged cliffs. But instead it was full of life, obviously the Tusken People had made the planet their home long before anyone else had decided to move on the harsh planet. The planet was full of life, Mos Eisley being one of the larger places on Tatooine where all kinds of people gathered. You worked at Peli Mottos mechanic shop as an apprentice, a freed slave from Bib Fortuna’s palace after Boba Fett had taken over. He had let all of the slaves go and hired on any of them that wanted to stay. You had not wanted to remain, the walls of the palace held too many awful memories for you and you just wanted to get away as far as possible.
But you had never been off of Tatooine, your mother was Jabba the Hutt’s slave, you were born into servitude. After Jabba you became the property of Bib Fortuna, serving as one of his many dancers. Luckily he had not taken a particular like or dislike of you so it was fairly easy for you to fly under the radar. When Boba Fett came you expected to be traded to him, that was just the way things seemed to go. But instead the woman, Fennec, had released you, tended to your wounds from the uproar after Fortuna’s death and made sure you were taken care of. She had even pointed you in the direction of Peli’s shop, she was apparently a friend of a friend.
Peli had been kind, taking you in and teaching you how to be a mechanic and teaching you how to survive in Mos Eisley. Most of your days were spent elbow deep in different machines from land speeders, to pod racers and the occasional ship. Peli kept you busy, and most days you were able to fall asleep immediately still in your mechanic coveralls, oil still smeared on your face. Then the cycle would start over again.
Today was different, you woke up before the two suns were fully risen, enjoying the comparatively cool temperature as you dragged yourself out of your cot. You wanted to get as much work done before it became unbearably not. When you stepped out into the hangar you saw a new ship, a silver pre imperial gunship that was releasing a concerning amount of smoke out of it’s engines. Peli was standing beside a tall imposing man wearing silver armor, his arms crossed over his chest as they spoke in hushed tones to each other. She also had a strange bundle of cloth wrapped up in her arms that she was bouncing gently.
You tried to sneak past the pair to the pod racer you were working on still, customers, especially the upset ones, were not your favorite. You would gladly leave it as Peli’s problem and pray she didn’t include you in it.
“Oh there you are!” Peli’s painfully cheery voice called for you, “ Come over here I want you to meet my friend and loyal customer Mando and his little womprat!”
You shuffled over chewing on the inside of your cheek as you looked up at the armor clad man in front of you, “Hi, I’m Peli’s apprentice, it’s nice to meet you Mando, Sir.”
The tall metal man almost winced at the formal tone you used as you exchanged names with each other before he turned his attention back to Peli. You shuffled uncomfortably in your spot feeling the tension between them, Peli had called him a friend but you weren’t sure. They were haggling prices for whatever it was that he needed done to his ship and he apparently wouldn’t allow droids to touch his craft. You looked for anything to distract yourself and turned your attention to the bundle in Peli’s arms and two large dark eyes stared back at you. You let out an involuntary squeal as Peli and Mandos' heads snapped to look at you.
You scooped the little creature out of Peli’s arms bouncing him in yours, “Oh my Maker you are the cutest little baby I have ever seen! Aren’t you just the sweetest!”
The baby laughed and cooed in your arms as you danced with him, Mando reached a nervous hand out towards you and Peli swatted him away.
“The girl is fine. She ain’t gonna hurt him. We just don’t see many babies around these parts.” Peli gently admonished him, before going back to grilling him on the price.
They eventually decided on a mixture of credits and a free delivery job from Mando as payment for fixing the engines and the fried hyperdrive. You kept the baby glued to your side as you worked, he seemed to fall asleep easily when you kept him placed in the makeshift sling you created. The Mandalorian always seemed to be hovering nearby, watching you work and keeping a close eye on the child. You did your best to ignore him, he didn’t seem much for conversation and you didn’t want to disappoint Peli.
On the fourth day you had finally finished fine tuning the hyperdrive, it would now work more efficiently than it had before. You beamed with pride at the Mandalorian as you walked down the ramp towards him, the child fast asleep against your chest.
“I’ve got your hyperdrive all tuned up, she should be ready to fly now!” You gave him a bright smile.
He gave you a stoic nod, a simple incline of his head as he walked into the office to find Peli. Your heart sank a little as you chewed on the inside of your cheek, you weren’t sure why you wanted his praise, but you did. There was something so new and alluring about him, he was nothing like anybody else you had ever met. He seemed like a person that had seen the entire galaxy, and in a lot of ways you wished he would whisk you away from Tatooine, like the heroes in your holovideos. But you knew that would never happen, soon he would leave taking the sleeping child with him.
That was what truly pulled at your heart.
There had been many children born over the years in Jabba’s Palace, and many of them didn’t survive their early years. As a dancer you didn’t get to spend time with the children, you were constantly busy serving guests, Jabba or Fortuna. You had always wanted children, but convinced yourself that it was an impossibility. You didn’t want to raise a child on Tatooine, with the harsh sun and never ending sand dunes. The strange green child was the closest that you would come to understanding what it was like to be a Mom, no matter how fleeting your time together was.
You were pulled from your thoughts by the sound of swearing as Mando stormed towards his ship, cape fluttering behind him. He stomped up the ramp as Peli came over to you with a smirk on her face.
“He has his blacks all twisted in a knot,” She laughed, her eyes crinkling around the edges, “ Remember those pod racing parts you need? Well I found some second hand, they’re on Pantora. You and Mando are going to go get them and bring them back.”
Your face lit up with a bright smile, “Really? You promise?” Peli nodded and you wrapped her in a tight side hug, careful not to crush the sleeping child between you.
You were absolutely giddy, you didn’t care if the big metal man was upset about the arrangement, you were going to get to go to a different planet AND get new parts for your hobby craft. Peli took the child from you while you ran to your room to pack, you didn’t have much, another pair of coveralls and some under garments. They were all haphazardly stuffed into your backpack before you went back out to Peli who now had Mando next to her. You slowed down trying to not look too excited since he had seemed so upset earlier.
Quickly the three of you were put together, belongings carefully stowed and the child laid down in his bassinet before Mando showed you to the cockpit. He had to help you strap into the copilots chair, as you stared excitedly out of the view port. You could never tell his expression with his helmet on, but he seemed to be less angry now. Shoulders relaxed and head tilted back as he took off from the surface. The take off was much smoother than his landing had been almost a week prior.
Mando was a hard man to impress. He had been across most of the outer rim, had seen more things and more people than many others could claim. But he was impressed with you, the work you had done on the Razors Crest, the way you held and cared for the child, and the way you stared out into space. There was something so different about you, Peli had told him a bit about your past, but you still seemed to have this bright innocence to you as you stared at the stars gliding past in hyperspace. He hadn’t wanted to bring you with, it would have been faster for him to go alone, but now he was happy that he had. Despite himself he had to admit that he enjoyed spending time with you.
Over the span of your journey to Pantora he found himself staring at you often. Everything you did was fascinating to him, from playing with the kid, to braiding your hair into different complicated styles, and just watching the stars streaked past. Sometimes you would ask him questions, but they were never the ones he expected you to ask, you asked him his favorite foods, his favorite planets he had been to, you asked him all of his favorite things to do. Today was your last day in hyperspace, you would reach Pantora soon and pick up the parts you need from a junkyard.
You plopped down in the copilot seat, now more comfortable in his presence than before, “Mando?” He loved the way you said his name and he hummed in response, “Is it true that there are places where there are giant areas of frozen water? And that sometimes the rain turns fluffy in the air and makes a blanket on the ground?”
Snow and ice? Your questions never ceased to surprise him. He blinked, obscured by the helmet as he remembered that you had grown up on Tatooine, you would have never seen snow, let alone experience it.
“Yes, on some planets entire oceans can freeze over during the winter. Pantora is an icy planet, they have snow almost all the time.” he said after some time.
You gave a dreamy smile as you sighed contently, you didn’t push the matter further, it didn’t occur to you to ask him to take you to the snow. You just wanted to know if it was true.
A few hours later you found yourselves in the hanger of the junkyard, you walked down the ramp hoping to see the snow, instead you found a heated hanger with the parts you were looking for. You inspected all the parts closely, looking for any damage or defect as Mando loomed behind you with the Pantorian man that ran the junkyard. Once you were sure of the quality of the parts you exchanged credits with the man and got the parts loaded into the belly of the ship. You were a little disappointed that you had not gotten to see some of the landscape of the planet, but you also knew that Mando was a busy bounty hunter and he was doing this as a favor to Peli.
“Hey Mando?” you called out to him once the ramp was raised, he turned to you staring down at you as you fidgeted in place, “Thank you, for doing this. It means a lot to me to be able to get these parts. Also thank you for talking to me about all of the different planets that you have seen.”
You gave him a smile that made his heart clench, he wanted to reach out to you, touch you, hold you, show you the entire galaxy if you wanted. Instead he gave you a polite nod before instructing you to stay in the hull of the ship while he took off. You nodded, your expression crestfallen thinking you had upset him as he ascended into the cockpit. You found a comfortable place to sit to wait out the next few days of space travel, but at least you had your pod racer parts.
Mando returned sooner than you anticipated, the ship having stopped unexpectedly.
“Is everything alright? We can’t be back at Tatooine already,” you said standing and approaching him.
“It’s a surprise, close your eyes mesh’la,” his voice was deep and tight through his vocoder.
You complied with a skeptical look, covering your eyes with your hands. You heard the ramp lower and it was suddenly very, very COLD. Colder than anything you had ever experienced before, but it was a new and exciting sensation. A large hand on your shoulder guided you forward and down the ramp, anticipation growing in your chest.
“Ok, you can open your eyes,” he said gently, beside your ear.
You opened your eyes and looked out on a snow covered shore of a frozen lake. You had only seen pictures of this, but none of them captured the beauty that was in front of you. Your eyes burned, you could feel the tears threatening to spill over as you looked up at Mando.
“You said you had never seen snow. You can’t come to an ice planet and not see the snow,” he chuckled.
You sprinted forward, surprising him as you could across the snow. It was cold and wet, everything Tatooine was not. You were absolutely sure that this was the best day of your entire life as you let yourself flop forward into the crunchy cold snow. Mando watched you for a while, running around in the snow, and he wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to leave you on Tatooine. Not before he could show you every beautiful place in the galaxy. After some time your hands and feet were numb, and Mando prompted you to come back inside. You were giggling like mad as you stumbled up the ramp of the Razors Crest.
He forced you to use the hot water in the fresher to warm up, you put on a fresh set of your coveralls and re braided your hair. Mando was waiting in the hull, making sure that your hands and feet were ok after so long in the cold. He probably should have made you come inside earlier but he couldn’t bring himself to stop you from playing. What he didn’t expect was the way you full force ran at him, wrapping your arms around him in a tight hug. Your cheek rested against the cold beskar of his armor and you swear it felt just like the ice on the lake.

Got in a basic gif, a basic illustration (callback to the doodle from Chapter 3), 5 pages of comic panels, and a looping animation. Totally worth it. I am probably done with any serious drawing for a month (besides the one I promised to do that's a companion to Lightning Luke) but man. I am so glad for the opportunity.
Anyway. The final chapter of The Suns is now live and also features a ficmix.

Day 1 of aerynwrites’ December Writing Challenge: Baking
Paring: Jaster Mereel X Jon Antilles
Jon has been away for a while, working on a mission in the outer rim. Jaster feels lonely as he tries to keep it together for him and the children.
Rating: PG13
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: angst, pain and comfort, Jaster was missing Jon, pre established relationship, Canon Divergence, heavy petting, not beta read, we die like men.
Jaster Mereel was not a man that people expected to be festive, his cold beskar exterior lended others to think of him as cold and serious all of the time. Much to his childrens chagrin he was not like most people's expectations. When in the privacy of closed doors Jaster was very bright and affectionate with both Arla and Jango, he paid special attention to making any holiday feel special and memorable. While both of his children were warriors at heart, they were still children and it was important for them to experience the lighter parts of childhood. The life day season was a particularly exciting part of the year. Jaster had already brought in a tree to decorate and was in the kitchen baking for his family.
It was during these moments where he missed his partner the most, he understood that Jon couldn’t be with them as much as either of them wanted. The life of a Jedi was a constant battle between duty, honor and family, and Jon was always going to need to put duty first. It had been weeks since Jaster had last heard from him, Jon had said that he would try to return to their sides soon. Jaster knew well that soon didn’t mean within a few days, or even weeks, just as soon as he could get back. Even Jango and Arla were starting to become restless in Jon’s absence, they both liked to pretend they didn’t like the Jedi Master but they both seemed to be in fouler moods when he was away.
Jaster was doing his best to keep himself together, to keep his children together. Myles was around often, handling many of the finer details of being the Manda’lor and taking Jango out to go train and get his mind off of Jon. Arla busied herself with her studies and spent more time with the armorer, perfecting her skills with beskar. Which left Jaster alone, painfully and completely isolated from those he loved most. While he did spend the majority of his day dealing with the responsibilities of being the Manda’lor there wasn’t enough work to keep himself occupied. His mind always returned to Jon, his jetii, somewhere out in the outer rim, helping those in need while he was stuck on Mandalore.
A drop of liquid splashed down into the batter he was mixing, pulling him from his thoughts and back to reality. Jaster hadn’t even realized he had started crying, the tears just flowed freely from his eyes. He grit his teeth as shame bloomed in his chest, the tears unbecoming of a Mandalorian, he had promised Jon that he would keep it together, for the both of them.
Jon had finally made it back to Mandalore, he was sore, tired, and bruised from his latest ‘adventure’ in the outer rim. His mission had taken him much longer than he had intended it to, dealing with smuggling rings always seemed to take more of his energy than he wanted them to. Spice traders were some of his least favorite types to deal with, the drug ran rampant throughout the galaxy as a way to get high fast. But this particular ring was killing people, cutting their spice with a highly dangerous mixture of chemicals to make the spice stretch farther. A small amount of it was fine, but for those that were addicts and people who needed spice as a form of medicine the consequences were deadly.
But now he was finally back, back to where his home was. He had commed ahead to Myles to keep Arla and Jango occupied for the evening so he could spend it with Jaster. He had been away much longer than he had wanted to, though if he had it his way he would never leave Jaster or the children. But his duty to the Order and the Force dictated that he had to leave. But now he was back, walking through the familiar halls of the Royal Palace to where their smaller personal living quarters were.
He could smell the familiar scent of Jasters baking from outside the door, warm baked goods, heavenly vanilla and pine. He felt a small twinge of sadness when he opened the door and saw the life day tree had already been brought in and decorated. Then he saw Jaster, bent at the waist over a bowl, shoulders trembling with silent sobs. His bag fell to the ground with a clatter as he rushed forward wrapping his arms around his beloved. At first Jaster stiffened and tried to wrench himself free of Jons hold, startled by the sudden contact. Once he was aware of who it was he allowed himself to go lax against Jon, letting the Jedi cradle him.
Jon was taller than Jaster, and Jaster fit perfectly against Jons chest, the top of his head the perfect rest for his chin. He cradled him there, wrapping himself around Jaster like a warm protective blanket to keep him safe from harm. Jaster was fully crying now, dampening the front of Jons robes with his tears as he clung to the taller man. Slowly, Jaster calmed, his shoulders no longer shaking and he just leaned into Jons chest.
“Welcome home Jon. Sorry I am such a mess,” Jaster hiccuped as he cleared his throat.
“You have nothing to apologize for,” Jon said gruffly, tilting Jasters head up so they could look at each other.
Even with his face still damp with tears and eyes red rimmed from crying, Jaster was still the most beautiful, handsome man that Jon had ever seen. It reminded him again how lucky he was to be able to call Jaster his. Jon held Jasters head gently in his hand, his calloused thumb brushing over Jasters tear dampened cheek.
“I missed you,” Jaster whispered, enchanted by Jons ice blue eyes staring into his soul.
“I missed you as well my love,” Jon returned, before dipping his head to catch Jaster in a hungry kiss.
Desire bloomed in Jasters chest, he had longed for Jon to return, to feel his touch, his lips, on his own again. Jon gently pushed Jaster against the counter, pinning him in with his body as he pressed feverious kisses all over his face and jaw. Jaster looped his arms around Jons neck as Jon lifted him effortlessly onto the counter, the cookie dough now forgotten in the bowl beside them. Jaster spread his legs so Jon could step between his thighs as the kisses moved down to his throat where Jon sucked a dark mark into Jaster’s skin. Jaster felt like his entire body was on fire, pleasure coursing through his veins as he tangled his hands in Jon’s hair, gently pulling on the strands.
Jaster’s body jerked as Jons hands grabbed his thighs, pushing his hands up towards Jaster’s pelvis sending electricity coursing up his spine. It also seemed to bring some clarity to his pleasure-addled brain as he gently pulled Jon away from the trail of hickeys he was leaving down his neck.
“Arla and Jango will be home soon, we can't do this here,” Jaster’s voice wavered, as he panted against Jons shoulder.
He looked up to see Jon’s devious grin as he looked down at Jaster with a hungry look in his eyes, “Myles is keeping them both for the entire night, I have you all by myself.”
He dove back into Jasters neck and Jaster let out a low moan as he tried to prepare himself for their evenings activities.
